The TV was fine when I picked it up but I drove it home with it sitting on the screen. When I turned it on the picture was no longer level. It just seemed like the screen turned inside the unit. Is there any kind of fix for this or am I just an Idiot. The model number is 34hf85c and its a Toshiba
Re: The picture in the screen is not straight/level
I have an older Toshiba 36inch. My manual has a topic called Tilt correction. This procedure will compensate for any local magnetic field differences which cause the image to tilt. My topic is listed in the Index under "T". See if your manual has this.

is the blurry all around the picture have different color like a smear of red, blue or yellow? if it is i think the posistor of your tv is not working. it is the one who activate the degaussing coil around the picture tube the prevent color miss-landing upon opening your tv set.
This is a problem with the pincushoin circuit, most likely a bqd capacitor. I don't have service information for your specific model, but a service shp shouldbe able to resolve this cheaply. It is possible that there are poor solder connections inside the set that the move may have aggrivated as well. If the set is no longer under warranty and you can solder, try resoldering any connections on the board that appear grainy or have rings. Please note that there are potentially dangerous high voltages present inside hte set even when unplugged.
Sounds like a problem in your VCR IF what your saying is when the screen goes dark and you turn off the VCR then the screen on the tv returns to normal?? Does this happen with the vcr on and the tape not playing?? No Ok you have a problem in the video processor Ic or the circuit but most likly the IC as Ive seen this already twice in a toshiba VCR. No if it happens even when the VCR is on but the tapes not plying and the vcr is sitting, and the screen fades The problem is the on screen disply IC in the vcr. seen this a dozon or so times already. Vcrs no a days are not worth the money to invest Unless you got a really good one from the past, BUT you can by a good on for these times for well under 100 bucks . Good Luck
