Question about Genius MousePen 8x6 (MOUSEPEN8X6)

1 Answer

Pen requires too much pressure

My friend and I both got this tablet and my pen works great, easy to use with photoshop. Her's on the other hand is very frustrating. We put its sensetivity level to as relaxed as we could make it but you have to press hard on the pen to get it to do things like basic drawing on photoshop or even changing icons....

Try another battery, not a generic brand.

Wacom Pen Pressure issues

Try hitting the pen head into your hand 5 times. Do the same with the eraser ( do it pretty hard but not too hard. I hurt my hand with the pen tip a LITTLE so you can gauge it by that). The humidity in the air causes the pen pressure to stick apparently. I had the same problem and this made it work. You should try and clean it too but if you don't want to take the pen apart this is the way to go. i hope this helps.

No one knows how to turn on pen pressure for photoshop 7

If you haven't tried this yet:
First go to "Windows" on the task-bar of Photoshop.
Go down and select Brushes.
A window should pop up with several different setting for your brush. Check the Shape Dynamics if it isn't checked.
And then the pen pressure should work I believe. Hope I helped.

Pressure sensitivity problem in Photoshop CS3

OK, I found the problem -- if you open photoshop with the mouse (whether it be through the quicklaunch bar, start menu, or desktop icon), the pressure sensitivity doesn't work. If you open it with the stylus or function button (I have a function button mapped for photoshop now because of this, since there's no icon on my tablet's display with how I have my display set up) the pressure sensitivity works fine.

A quick KIND of fix, but until Adobe actually does something about it, this is probably the easiest way to do it.
