You have to put the music into a folder that already existed on the sd card. If you put the music into any other folder other than what was there already, then you won't see it once it's inserted back into the phone.
Make sure the music isn't going to the device the card is in. The cell phone pocket pc, laptop, netbook or wherever. You probaby don't see anything in the sd file because the music is another file using up the maximum available storage space. By using the mobile center you can drag and drop music files directly to the sd card file.
Take the SD card out of the phone, if the card is micro sd you may need to put the card in the adapter that usually comes with it. Next, insert it in the computer's memory card reader, then drag and drop you files and music onto the card. If you see a folder labled MUSIC, thats where the music would go, just match up the names.
It's probably just that you aren't using the correct folders, but...
First, make sure you phone TRUELY sees it as it should. Some phones don't properly handle SDHC cards. As long as it's a picture phone, put in the card(blank and formated) and take some pictures. If you have a data plan, download a tune or two (sprint has "free sample" mp3 download of the week).
Now, take the card out, and access it with the computer. You should see a picture folder, and a media folder(names depend on the type of phone you have)
Specifically, the music folder is where you want to put your music files. Also, depending on your phone(you didn't say what kind you had) you should begin trying by uploading 128Kbps mp3 files. Most modern phones should handle that format.
Now, return to the phone, and test it out with either your "mass storage manager" app, or your media player app.
should mount the memory card as a drive letter in my computer if not then right click on my computer and go to manage and then disk management and assign it a drive letter ( right click and assign drive letter ) if thats possible then just drag and drop the music into the relevant folder(s)
I tried copying music to my PNY 2GB, too, and it stopped accepting after about 720 MB. I deleted all the music I had on it, created half a dozen new folders, renamed them, then put as much music as I wanted on the SD. I haven't tested it on my phone yet but at least it let me copy all the music I wanted.
you need to install memory card in phone then attach a data cable specfically for your phone (available at cell phone dealer) into phone and the other end to the usb of the pc if our phone came with software load it on pc then use the software to transfer the music files from your pc to your phone.
