The unit will fill and stop at desired level then proceeds to do nothing, make a humming sound, emit an electrical burnt smell and power cord from wall to unit is getting hot. No spin, No drain.
where to start? I must fix asap myself if possible.
Check at the back side of the motor to see if it turns freely. If it does, your motor is bad. If not your gearcase is frozen (bad). Hope this helps!
