Hello,
the OS of the Ethernet Big disk is on the hard drives, so you did erase them. This unit should only be formatted using the administration page drive format option.
LaCie usually does not give away the OS, so your option would be to close some other Ethernet Big Disk or Ethernet Disk Mini drives unto your now formatted drives.
Regards,
After you load up your dishwasher check that the top arm spins freely. Something might be stopping it. eg Big plates like I have. I can only put them on the sides.
As for the white parts , hard to tell without a picture.
is it like a hard drive caddy with a big handle that puls out of the front if it is you have them on IBM net vista's theay are called hard drive caddys you can buy them of ebay for a couple of Ā£ or $
I have the same problem too on my 2big form lacie . If I use 2x 1,5 tera disk in "fast mode" or in "big mode" my disk manager only shows 746 gigs available (it should be at least 2,5 terra). If I use "safe mode" so my system can see 1,3 tera available, wich is normal for a raid mirror configuration. I hope to find a solution quickly.
Look your hardisk there in a jumper like blue color or any look at the top of your hard disk where to put the jumper to slave and another hard disk to master. but use this setting if you using one cable like IDE. but if use sata just put your sata cable to sata slot in your motherboard. follow the no. of your sata slot.
I used the big stack for my river kayaks and it did fine. But my fiberglass sea kayaks are so much heavier that I did not take the chance. For 1 of my kayaks I spent a lot of money to get the special sea kayak rack and it worked great. For my wife's kayak I saved some money and bought some simple v-shaped foam rubber rack attachments for $20. The foam attachments are so much easier, I don't even use the Yakima attachemnts any more. My suggestion - save your money and go with the cheap foam attachments.
Either your disk controller has failed or all of the disks with orange lights have failed. Try transferring them to another machine to determine if the disks are ok. If the disks work in another machine, the disk controller on your server is trashed and you should contact Gateway for repairs. Otherwise, the disks are dead and you should replace them (hope you backed up your data!)
There is no rack available to stack this washer and dryer that I am aware of. Certain front load and portable machines can be stacked otherwise it is stacked from the factory.
Hope this helps??!! Posted Oct 13, 2006 - It's
not the drives that fail, it's the power supplies...
They fry after about 3 months-1.5 years. LaCie sells replacements for
about $16-$20, dpeneding on the model. We have over 20 of these drives,
and here's how you know: the drive spins up, then down - it tries to
mount, data transfer will freeze, etc. Just put another power supply on
it, and 9 times out of 10, it's fine. Of course, any drive can fry on
you, but these have proven to be extremely reliable under some of the
hardest use imaginable.
