Dryer puts out heat, vent pipes not clogged, just cleaned them out. Is there a blower or fan that pushed the air thru the tumbler and out the vent? If so does it include a motor or just a belt of some sort to spin the fan blades.

The dryer vent may be partially blocked. First of all check the outdoor end of the vent to make sure it is not covered with something, in the north snow is often the culprit. If that end is clear, pull out the dryer and disconnect the vent pipe from the dryer then check inside with a flashlight to make sure it is clear. Remove any built up lint. that should do it.

TAKES 2 TO 3 CYCLES TO DRY. gETS BARELY WARM

If your dryer is still heating, but you are experiencing longer dry times and poor drying efficiency, the following link can give you some things to check before you assume there is a malfunction with your dryer:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3578821-dryer_takes_too_long_to_dry

The number one cause of dryer heat related problems is poor exhaust ventilation. If not vented properly, a dryer will not dry efficiently, will actually take longer than required to dry, and will cause the heating circuits to overheat to the point of failure. The dryer will actually seem hotter than usual in many cases as the heating circuits begin to overheat. This is also the source of many fire hazards if not resolved. Read through the link provided and review some of the potential causes.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information is helpful.

NOTE: If you thoroughly check everything and still have problems let me know. The problem could be related to a thermostat failure.

replace your t-fuse again but also chekc to see if the vent going outside is restricted. if hte vent is smashed or clogged the heat has nowhere to go. i would say that is your issue. clean your vent before you change he t-fuse.

Our dryer is working fine until it trips the switch.

If tripping of the switch means the circuit breaker is tripping, then yes, the problem may be in the heater box, or may be the motor. It could also be some faulty wiring though, and a good tech could easily determine what is causing the failures.
