The reset procedure is usually documented in the owner's manual. But if you can not locate that, please update this with the model number of hte set and we'll get that info for you. Please note that the procedure is relatively simple, but dependent upon the model number.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a panasonic pt-56dlx75. the lamps are okay i had them checked but my tv will not turn on, no blinking red lights just a green blinking light in the power button. I can also still hear a fan working...

I am not familiar with your TV but the blinking light is generally the error code! You will need to count the blinks, that will tell you what is wrong with your TV! Wish I could help you more!

Ineed to reset the lamp timer on my panasonic pt-56dlx75-k tv I installed a new lamp

terryc43,

This should solve your problem.

1. Turn on the television.
2. Press the down button on the TV Display (not the remote)
3. While pressing the volume button, press the "split" or "PIP" button on the remote.

This should reset your lamp timer.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating!!

You need the original remote to reset the lamp. Try to find a neighbor with a similar tv or buy one off ebay.

How do I reset the lamp timer on my panasonic dlp tv?

Most Panasonic lamp driven TV's use either the PIP or SPLIT button on the remote control pressed simultaneously with the VOLUME down on the TV. These two buttons must be held in that position for more than 6 seconds then a box should appear on the screen letting you know the timer was reset to zero. The instructions usually come with the lamp as they are not in the owners manual. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks....

Projection lamp timer reset

I need help resetting the lamp timer. Is there a way to reset the timer w/o the remote? We bought this tv as a floor model 4 yrs ago and they didn't have the actual remote that came with it, so they gave us another remote that works. We replaced the lamp but we keep getting the message that the lamp needs to be replaced and the timer reset. Plus the red lamp indicator is still on. We even used a friend's remote (he has the exact same tv) and it still will not reset the timer.
