Question about Samsung HP-S4253 Television
Menu appears and disappears randomly while we are watching tv. Remote lets us exit when menu appears but we have been unable to figure out why it continues to pop up. We took the batteries out of the remote to make sure it wasn't the remote and covered the sensor on the TV to ensure it wasn't picking up random signals from something else. THe problem must be from within the TV. Any suggestions?
Its probably the buttons (hopefully) you can open the tv and disconnect this control panel most of the time. Sometimes the remote (IR) signals go through this board. If the problem continues without board connected, its likely the main board = more expensive (100-300 $ part)

SOURCE: Menu screen keeps coming on
I hate to call Philips liars but the logic of the situation speaks for itself. If it was a software fault then your tv would have done this from day one and I bet it just started to do it out of the blue. I think it could be a faulty component on the board where the buttons are located. Hope this helps.
