Question about Pride Mobility Products Hurricane PMV 4-Wheel w/55AH Batteries & Charger + Flat Free Tires - Color Viper Blue - Gray Fabric Seat
The scooter is fully charge and runs normally for a period of time. After some time it turns itself off, and in order to start up again the ignition key must be turned off and on several times. Sometime it requires the scooter to be placed in reverse before it can be turned on in the forward postion. As it is an intermittant problem, it has been difficult to pinpoint.
Sounds like it might be a bad throttle pod, or the brake is overheating. If you can pull the rear shroud off and drive it for a while you can check to see if the brake is overheating. Be careful when checking it because if it is really hot it will burn your fingers. The throttle pod can be checked with an ohm meter but i'm not sure off the top of my head what reading you should get. let me know if you would go that far and i'll get it for you.
