When playing wii fit boxing, the 'connection' seems to not be working. Game still going on, but frequently the (R) punch isn't being recognised (despite nearly pulling it out of the socket, by punching so hard!!)
There is often a 'double' punch sound in the remote, that doesn't register....any ideas??
If you notice, there is a small twist in the remote when the demonstrator leans forward. Its that motion that the Wii recognises rather than distance. You can even flick the controller to get the same effect.
Be sure that the sensor bar is flat and facing the player directly for best reception.

Hi, i install wii lasers frequently and have found that newer games tax the laser more so than older less demanding games. The laser might simply be weak, and need replacing which is questionable as we charge approx 110 for that and thats close to the replacement cost of a new machine
I had the same problem until I realized I was holding the nunchuk "backward." Or rather, upside down. With your palm facing down toward the floor, the nunchuk should curve upward, and the center button that sticks up should be facing to where your thumb can rest on it. I had mine the other way, with my thumb on the "trigger" and nothing was registering. So, play with the positioning of the nunchuk in your hand.
You may have to upgrade the Wii system menu - is their system older than this year? We ahd the same issue this AM with Super Mario and Punch Out - connect your Wii to the internet and then
Just select the System Update option in Wii System Settings. This will update it and then they will work - if these are new games this year - our system was a 3.1 and it has to have the Wii system 4.0 for these newer games. Working fine now - give it a try...
my wii isnt working either. i tried sycning it and it wont work. i cant even start to play a game cuz the wii wont stay on even though the batteries work
I was just being really thick!! Eventually I found the right button on the remote and there it was on the screen. Thanks anyway though, and I know where to find you again. Sure I will!
No it is not how Wii Fit is supposed to be. First, let me suggest that you ensure that the power button on the Wii Fit Balance Board is facing AWAY from the TV set. This may seem silly, but it's the most common error. As for the Hula Hoop game, make sure that your weight is all on the side of the Wii Fit Balance Board in the direction that you need to lean to catch the hoop.
There have been instances of the sensors in the Wii Fit Balance Board going out. If you have tried the above steps and you are still getting errors, please go to www.nintendo.com, register your product, and open a problem ticket with them.
Post what version of Wii Fit (NTSC, PAL) your playing and what version Wiiconsole your playing it on. Also post the mod chip and firmware your using and if your playing a backup or original.
