When playing wii fit boxing, the 'connection' seems to not be working. Game still going on, but frequently the (R) punch isn't being recognised (despite nearly pulling it out of the socket, by punching so hard!!)
There is often a 'double' punch sound in the remote, that doesn't register....any ideas??
If you notice, there is a small twist in the remote when the demonstrator leans forward. Its that motion that the Wii recognises rather than distance. You can even flick the controller to get the same effect.
Be sure that the sensor bar is flat and facing the player directly for best reception.

Hi, i install wii lasers frequently and have found that newer games tax the laser more so than older less demanding games. The laser might simply be weak, and need replacing which is questionable as we charge approx 110 for that and thats close to the replacement cost of a new machine
Maybe the Wii Sports game only works from where it was with the console. The Zelda and the Wii Fit game, not so sure. It could be the game, possibly dusty or something. Try cleaning the disc and see what happens. Hope that helps.
You may have to upgrade the Wii system menu - is their system older than this year? We ahd the same issue this AM with Super Mario and Punch Out - connect your Wii to the internet and then
Just select the System Update option in Wii System Settings. This will update it and then they will work - if these are new games this year - our system was a 3.1 and it has to have the Wii system 4.0 for these newer games. Working fine now - give it a try...
This is really very frustrating when you face such kind of problems. You may check out Wii Fix Guideto fix the problem yourself. This DIY guide will show step by steppictures to fix the problems yourself without any technical knowledge. .
Did you buy it new? If so, it can sometimes play a few tricks. What I do, is restart the Wii, Go to start either the disc channel Wii Fit, or the Wii Fit channel. Do either the body test, then do it again straight after. Test it now, it should come up as all working. If not, you may have to ring Nintendo.
sometimes just sometimes tvs are funny, some tv's call it a "input select" others call it a "mode" or simply "input" and some dont have any they just want you to goto channel 2 on the tv and go back one more channel.
ushally all these modes are listed on the remote.
is it the origional remote? or is it a universal remote.
try those things above look over the remote again see if anything resembles any of that and if not
list the make and model of your tv and if your using a universal remote we will be able to figure something out for you.
