Is there a way to use my MP3/WMA files from my SD card as ringtones? I was able to do it using my Samsung I730 but cannot using the Audiovoxx 6700.

I CANNOT GET ANY OF MY RINGTONES ON MY SD CARD TO WORK AS RINGTONES ON THIS PHONE. IT WON'T EVEN GIVE ME THE OPTION OF USING THEM AS RINGTONES NO MATTER WHAT I DO.

Yes..all you have to do is click and hold on the file until a menu appears and then select "use as ringtone"

you can also copy the files you want to be able to use to windows/rings that can be accessed from the file explorer menu

How to save ringtone download to the phone

Create a folder named 'ringtones' (without the quotes) in the root of your SD card, and copy the files (mp3, wma, ogg) you want to use as ringtones to that folder. Then, as usual, if you either edit the contact entry you want to set one of the newly copied ringtones to, or open the dialer's default ringtone settings, the files you copied should appear in the selection list.
Hope it works for you.
Anyway, please, let me know if I can help you any further, since it would also work if you copied those files directly to the internal '/system/media/audio/ringtones' directory, but it would mean you would have to mount the '/system' directory as a read-write drive, and set write permissions to those directories beforehand. Such operations are far more complicated than the SD card solution, but I could explain them to you, if you really want.
Best regards, Carlos

Got sd card and installed music from computer ,plugged into phone but when i go to music player it shows no songs on card, how ever when put back tocomputer songs show up and play

Your Samsung Hue can only play MP3 encoded files (extension mp3). If you have taken music that has been ripped using the windows media player, the default rip settings put the tracks into windows media audio format (wma) which your phone cannot read. You'll need to find a free wma to mp3 converter and convert your files to load onto your phone. You can also set Windows Media Player to default to MP3 when ripping under the Tools|Options menu item. Look under the RIP tab and change the default format to MP3. If you are already using MP3, it is possible that you are using to high of a Kbs rate on your MP3's in which case you'll need to be sure you rip tracks in a lower Kbs rate (also under the RIP tab in Windows Media Player). Here is a link to a free WMA to MP3 converter...
