Sa3 bose not sound from boselink but external input yes

I cant hear anything coming from the boselink, I tried changing the cable, doing the reset of the amplifier unplugging it and waiting 3 mins, I change the zone in at the bose hub and the same. I can see the zone in the remote of the bose and can increase and decrease the volume if I have something connected to the external input, but no sound from the bose from any input.

It depends on the Bose system you connected with the amp and the type of Bose remote you are using?Does the indicator LED at the rear of the amplifier stay solid green when you press the ON button on the remote? If not, check that your room code setting on the remote correspond with the micro switches setting at the rear of your amplifier.

How can I connect an SA-2 amplifier to the BOSE 321 Series II Media Center?

To connect an SA-2 amplifier to a BOSE 321 Series II Media Center, you will need to use a 3.5 mm audio cable. Connect one end of the cable to the headphone jack on the SA-2 amplifier and the other end to the auxiliary port on the BOSE 321 Series II Media Center. Once connected, you will be able to enjoy amplified sound from your media center.

There is no sound

Confirm there is power in the wall socket and that the mains cable of the Acoustimass Module is OK,then check if the Boselink audio cable is inserted firmly into the zone1 output of the Media Center and the input of the Acoustimass Module.Turn the Acoustimass Module upside down and power the system,if led indicator blinks orange, the Acoustimass Module is faulty but if it blinks an intermittent but regular green light, the fault could be from the audio cable or Media Center.Only a qualified Bose Technician can handle this kind of fault

What does the BoseLink input do? Can I use it to connect my Bose Radio to my HD TV? It has a USB port for audio sound output. (I can't seem to find the manual that came with my Bose Radio)

yes, buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. It looks like a headphone jack on both ends. Plug one end into headphone jack of HDTV and plug the other end into the 3.5mm Audio In jack on the Bose Wave. Boselink input is for other Bose components.

Why do I continue to get "format unsupported" when

The manual:
http://products.bose.com/pdf/customer_service/owners/AM312515_01_321_SeriesIIIandGS_OG_ENGvo.pdf

The history evn on Fixya alone is not good for this error...

Solutions 2 thriough 5

Reset:
1) Turn around the lifestlye system so you can see all the cables. First unplug the cable which connects the lifestyle system to the huge acoustimass module (bass speaker). It is a roundish 8 pin cable - on mine it was in the second column of slots from the left. Labelled main. under the power input plug and above a slot labelled Boselink. If you have one in the Boselink instead, unplug that as that is what he was originally trying to get me to unplug but I didn't have anything there.
2) Second, unplug the DC power cord just above it
3) wait at least a minute
4) plug the power back in
5) plug back in the first cable to the acoustimass
The order you do this is apparently important.

Clean the lens:
All you have to do is carefully take the top off and clean the "Iris" which is the reader with a little alcohol and cotton swab. Bose will charge $165 plus shipping to do this. Go to website metacafe.com and search how to clean DVD players and it will show a video, easy to understand.
Call for help:

I'd call Bose and make the case

We have just installed a Bose lifestyle system, with SA 2 and SA 3 amplifyer, with a second set of speakers in another room. we cannot get sound to the second room. the second remote is not responding....

Make sure you unplug your sa 2 and sa3 amplifiers after setting the codes. Wait at least 60 seconds, then plug back in. I would also unplug the in and out boselink cables as well. Once youve waited for a minute, then plug everything back in. Should work. If not, call Bose technical support. They are really great. I have 15 SA 3 amplifiers throughout my home. They are great.

Can not get any sound to work on my bose 28 life style system first time using it. and got a new tv

If you have no sound from any source (CDs and radio included) then check the Audio Input cable at the back of the media center. Make sure it's plugged into the top portion of the 'speakers' section into where it says "main" and not "BoseLink"
If this is fully connected, but still no audio- check to make sure your Acoustimass module (subwoofer on the floor) is plugged into a working power outlet. If that fails, try unplugging both power cords for the system for about 30 seconds.

Bose say you should pay to get it converted because over time the slightly different power cycles can effect it, however it will still works fine if you change the voltage with an adapter - like I did!!!
