John Deere Snowblower - wheel won't spin

The snowblower was working fine, one morning, I made one pass with it, then on the second pass, the wheel that picks up the snow wouldn't spin. It has the pull bar up by the handle where you pull it back to engage the wheel. Any suggestions on how difficult it is to take apart, and what the problem may be? This is a John Deere TRS 21 Snow Blower

Thank you for helping with this. My guess is that I have to take it apart in order to take the augur off to check the sheer pins - correct? Sorry, I'm not much of a mechanic, but I can take things apart and put them back together. By just looking at it, I don't see any pins. The center bar fits into each side, and I don't believe it can be removed without taking it apart. Are the pins inside the casing, and not visual? Again, thank you!

Yes 2 solutions. the sheer pins have got broken down on that auger that wont spin, they go through the middle bar. easy fix. about 2 dollar.

The other thing is. The drive belt located directly in the middle of the machine has a plastic cover over it has slipped off or is broken.

THis is a little more tricky as you split the machine taking off the collection cage usually to fix. I charge 89 dollars in my shop to do these.

Its not hard if you pay attention to where you need to take off the parts.

NO the pins are on the auger they look like bolts, the sides of the casing have a bearing that the side of the auger shaft fits in to.

There is also sheer pins in the strait part of the auger going back towards the motor. Its basically a T so look closely at the auger and have a freind help. If the strait part going back is spinning then the sheer pins in the "blades" area have broke. Look for the things that look like bolts going through the auger "middle of the blade"

If the strait part isnt spinning that comes from the engine side. then its probably just a belt. You wont aloways notice broken sheer pins becasue sometimes one hald of it is still in the auger area. look at both sides and if one end is open that pin is broken. -Jeff

Hi , I have a john deere Dual Stage snowblower 1330SE The electric Chute rotation won't work any thoughts?

Detach wires at the motor that turns it, have someone try to rotate while checking wires with a meter. Should have power, if not look for bad fuse or connection to the switch. If you have power to the motor check across the motor for continuity. Maybe motor has a stuck brush?

John deere walk behind snowblower

It's possible that your choke linkage may be the problem. Or the choke is partically on when it's running. A choke is required when it's cold but not required when it's hot. Check the intake of the carburetor to see if the choke butter fly opens all the way when you shut the choke down. Good luck.

John deere snowblower 826 will not shift out of drive.

Your drive control spring most likely broke. This will lead to the drive pulley and friction wheel continually being in contact. This will in turn lead to the snow thrower constantly being in drive. The spring should be stocked by the local dealer and is very easy to replace.

Is there a GENERIC Snow thrower for John Deere 110?

Two Stage - Snowblower - Snow thrower - Bercomac All of the Bercomac attachments are interchangeable on the same quick hitch mounting. Bolts on in minutes. What a great idea for people who have more than one tractor or buy a new one. No more having to go and buy all new attachments for the new small tractor, just buy a different model hitch kit if it doesn't use the same one. The resale value is preserved when you can sell your attachments to be used on another size or model lawn and garden tractor.
