Can I clean the color bulbs on my 52'' RCA television?

To clean these lenses is easy with a clean soft cotton cloth in a kindly way. BUT wait a minute: To get access to those lenses is the really hard job. something as you want to see the core of an onion but tobe there you have to take a cover at the time. Trust me: Literally. Step by Step, at least 40 screws. the front screen is the last step, and then you can see those lenses. If the tv is working OK and is the only job needed, ask a technician for a regular cleanning and adjustment you can get surprised about the service cost (NOT REALLY HIGH i mean). make sure he cleans the back mirror also.

How to fix fuzzy pic & red, blue, green lines on your screen?

Typically this is due to a convergence chip failure. This repair can be done pretty easy with the proper instruction. Have a look at this video to help determine if you truly have a convergence problem.

Your TV most likely has one or more possible problems.

Problem #1: Convergence Chip Failure ( common problem )

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem
  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kits for most models. If you don't see a kit for your set send them a quick note and they will put one together for you. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, etc.

Problem #2 CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com that includes replacement coolant, photos. instructions, etc.

52" RCA HDTV projection TV 4 years old and just started getting

This unit needs repair your convergence needs alignment, which with the RCA model needs to be done by a tech and the Blue card is either dead or is dying. You need to take it in and evaluate weather or not it is worth repairing or just wpending the money on a new T.V. - You can expect to pay around $350 - $800 to get this repaired, plus pick up and drop off. I would not endevor to do this myself as there are other things that can be damaged when messing with it.

RCA 46" Rear Projection TV - Picture is Blurry and RED

That sounds like the screen and focus controls you are adjusting. It sounds like you have a bad HV Splitter inside the TV. #205064 or #204809 Depending on your model number. http://www.matelectronics.com/acatalog/Mat_Electronics_Replacement_Parts___TV_134.html sells them for about 20 bucks.
