Can I project outdoors with an Acer PD113 ? and How big will the image be?

Not sure of the lumens or brightness of this model but in the dark it should be bright enough. Most projectors will do up to a 300" diagonal image.

I want to watch a sporting event outside on a big screen using a projector. How do I view the live broadcast from my TV through a projector?

the best way
u need to get external video card (it cost's around 15$ or 20euros)
with this u can watch cable tv or satelite tv on ur lap top or pc
the next step is to plug projector to pc, lap top etc.
that's all
If u don't have cable or satelite, there are many sites on web where u can watch tv for free, if u perfer this way u don't need video card, but picture won't be so great also...
i'll writh u down one of the free tv internet sites

Canon XEED SX50 Multimedia Projector - Poor light on screen

the canon xeed sx-50 should beside its noisyness give a brilliant bright picture. if not check if there ist something wrong with the lamp? is it aged? did you buy it used? the lamp counter can be easily reset... the only reason for a faint picture could be the lamp's age or tons of dust inside the matrix :)
best

Sharp DT-100 projector bad picture quality

Hi There Not sure what you visually describe as "blurry" This could be two things - a typical white screen will waste all the definition and brighteness unless you sit in a dark room Our ICE Digital Daytime Screens will take any projector and make the image up to 2000% brighter with a resolution reseolving ability of 20 million pixels. So in this case the definition you are alluding to could be lack of contrast, image definition due to insufficient light from the projector relative to the lux level of the room. Alternatively the lamp could be getting old. The brightness of a lamp falls off rapidly so as you use it more and more the image will become duller and duller contributing to a "blurry" or image lacking in punch etc.
The technical lamp hour spec life is only a manufacturers "up to xxx hours" and not what you will achieve in actual life.
If you want we are able to supply lamps as we ship internationally and also the same with our ICE Digital Daytime projection screens. Sharp DT-100 Lamp cost is $US261 delivered. Rolling picture

Have you tested the source machine on another TV or projector. The picture might be rolling before it gets to the projector so you need to verify whether it is the source machine or the content then you might be able to determine if it is the actual projector. Sounds like the vertical sync has got lost somewhere.
Hope that helps. Also we can supply lamps for this model if you ever need.

In the menu selection I don't have access to sharpness, or color adjustment. The picture image is violet. How do I make adjustments in color?

Sounds like the pins on the computer cable are bent...there are three pins that carry Red Green Blue parts of the picture . if one is missing, bent etc you will loose that colour.
It could be more serious also, UV filters in projector are worn out, these are not user replaceable items, or if DLP many be part of the colour sector is missing.
If you ever need a lamp we are able to supply replacement lamp delivered next time you need one, as we ship internationally and also the same with our revolutionary ICE Digital Daytime projection screens.

Screen goes blank momentarily

cover up the infrared remote sensor on the projector. The heat of these colours or something might be messinf with the infrared remote sensor. TRy this and see what happens. It may just be bad contacts. Some projectors just cant handle stuff like this. Some were meant for presentations and presentations only. BUt seriously try covering the remote sensor to see what happens. If it is an older projector the infrared signal detector might be sensitive to bright light or stuff like that.
