Go to Preferences and look for the option says "subtitles" Try to find this option and disable it.. it can only happen like this.. otherwise nothing can be done if Subtitles are embedded in Video.

Can I hook up my vh242h monitor to satelite box and if so what connections do I need

First, look on the back of your satellite box and look for one of the first 3 connectors on this site:
http://ixbtlabs.com/articles3/video/guide-p5.html

They depict D-Sub, DVI-D, and HDMI ports which are all compatible with your monitor. I would suggest HDMI, but any would work fine. You can get these cables at any electronics store (BestBuy, Walmart, etc.).

If you don't have any of these connectors on your satellite box, you will need to get a converters such as this:
http://www.amazon.com/Wired-Up-Premium-7-62M-Component-Cable/dp/B000QEDE76

If these links don't help, reply with what model satellite box you have and I can provide more specific instructions.

Good Luck!

I cant get my subtitles off my ht3461

The appearance of subtitles are likely due to a program for viewing video. Search the program's options for a way to turn off the subtitles.

Windows display

Looks as though the resolution has reset to Windows basic.
If you right click on the desktop, you should be able to see your video toolbox - NVIDIA - or whatever is installed. Click onto that and change the resolution.
Hope this helps.

Computer is showing fatal error

That fatal error warning message is not coming from your operating system - it is coming from a virus. Do not follow whatever instructions boxes like that may tell you until after the following process.

Turn on your machine's firewall and tick NO EXCEPTIONS. Download an anti-virus product like AVG from download.com. Install it, update it until it says it has all updates, and then do a complete scan of your machine removing viruses.

Reboot.

Navigate to WINDOWS UPDATE on your start bar and allow it to install all updates it can, even optional ones.

Reboot.

Go to ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS from CONTROL PANEL and remove all security software besides the anti-virus you just installed, since this software has failed and is now unreliable.

Good luck...
