Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer
I have a problem with a washing machine and I am not sure how old the machine is. I bought it new but can't remember how long ago. It is a Whirlpool LSQ8543JQ0. Does anyone know where I can find out when it was made?
The problem with the machine is that it will fill with water and agitate but the timer seems to stop and will not forward on through the cycle. I suspect that the problem is the timer. Once it forwards to the end of the agitating cycle the timer just stays in the same place.
Can someone tell me if that is what the problem sounds like to them? I hate to buy a timer and then it not fix the machine if the machine is older and not worth fixing.
I have this same washer I got it in 2000. About a year I had this same problem. It was just the Lid Switch. I got one off eBay it was not much.

It sure sounds like your timer, anything that old Will start having problems. You will save a lot of money if you replace it yourself, you could buy a used one.Be careful if you buy a new machine,a lot of them are made to go out.
