Question about Fujitsu LifeBook N3010 Notebook
Possible reason for it shutting down after running for a while could be faulty memory. If you can download Ultimate Boot CD from the internet you will be able to run a few diagnostic tests. Try some of the memory diagnostic tools and also check the hard drive. Another possibility is that it is something to do with the Lifebook power supply. If all fails, take it to a technician to get it checked out.

Could me many things. Let's think. I installed an antivirus once that would get stuck scanning some file, the CPU-- the main processor in the latop-- would go to 100% and would get so hot that the fans would go crazy cooling it down. It could easily shut down if left on all day from heat.
Another laptop I had- I read on the support boards (it would get hot and the fans would be very loud) that the thermal last between the CPU fan and the CPU would degrade, causing the heat dissipation to decrease-- the heat of teh CPU was not being wicked away through the paste to the CPU fan. Boom- the laptops would shut down from too much heat.
Did you install any new software lately? If no, it could be a hardware problem like I mentioned above.
Third, a friend of mine had a gateway laptop that would get very hot-- he could hardly use it. It was a loose/faulty graphics card that would get very got, causing teh fans to go on, and then the computer to **** down.
Many of these hardware problems are tough to solve over email like this because you need technical knowledge. Further, most of these require the unit to be sent in to fix, really, especially in the case of laptops which are tougher even to get at than desktops.
Call the manufacturer, as they might be able to talk you through a fix or sending it in. Even if it costs $130 bucks, it's still not the 500-600 you need for a new computer...
