Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Remove the battery for a hour. Put the battery back in. Press down at the same time and hold the #2 and #9 key when you switch it on - that will do a factory reset on almost all Uniden scanners. Then release, push manual, program, enter frequency of the local weather station and you should hear it.

How do I program the scanner. It keeps telling me there is an error when I enter anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have one of these scanners they are kinda hard to program uniden could of made it simple.....Ok you have to hit your function button first...Then hit your e button enter button the enter button and it will go to program...The enter button and the program button is the same just go to your enter button. e button this will put your scanner into program mode...then you can start entering your frequencies...if you don't have it in program mode it will show error...If you have any more problems you can e mail me randymarr570@msn.com

I have reset my uniden bc scanner and am trying to re porgram frequencies in i press hold, put in frequency number , press func. and then prgm. and it keeps telling me error. What could be wrong?

First, be sure that the frequency that you're trying to enter is withjin the scanner's tuning range. The ERROR message will appear if you enter an invalid frequency.

Second, follow this sequence to program a known frequency:
- Power the scanner ON.
- Press HOLD.
- Enter the number of the channel you wish to program.
- Press the Func and Pgm keys (channel number will display).
- Enter the frequency, including the decimal point.
- Press E to enter your information into the scanner's memory.

Need the owners manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

Hi im new to scanning i bought a uniden ubc92xlt handheld scanner bit dont no how to scan propley anyone can give me any tips how to use this for police taxies planes regards paul

Programming and operating the UBC92XLT is fairly straightforward, and detailed instructions can be found in the factory manual. If you don't already have this document, you can download and print it here:

http://www.uniden.com/pdf/BC92XLTom.pdf

The above manual is for the USA model BC92XLT, but the two scanners are nearly identical.

foursons, have you tried resetting the scanner yet. On pg 47 it mentions about turning banks of channels on or off. Possibly some banks got turned off. Resetting the scanner starts on Page 53.
I hope this helps somehow, and good luck with it,, Mechanic
