When I unplug my 9600 phone from my computer my computer has NO sound! I've tried changing all kinds of settings, but nothing brings back the sound except to shut down and restart my computer! How can I get both computer sound AND sound on the phone at the same time, so I don't have to disconnect the phone? I did not have this problem with my XP, but am now with Vista.
in sound settings (in control panel) you shold find the computers sound card and set that as default soundcard. And in the settings (preferences) menu in the software you use to perform calls you just specify your computer phone as sound device.

You can't web to a 3102 phone, only the phone system. If you don't know what the IP address is on the phone system, you will have to get a serial cable (null modem cable) DB9 male to DB9 female and connect to the console 1 of the phone system. You will need a terminal emulator program and connect at 9600, 8, none and 1 for the settings. Type nbxIpConfig (case sensitive) and hit enter. The IP address will then be shown. If this is not what you were asking, please explain.
it is likely the phone is in headset mode. If you've got a headset button programmed, then it should be lit.... if so, press it and it should work for you.
If you don't, you might be able to use the blue superkey to either turn off headset mode or set a button. Press the Blue superkey, Press an unused button in the two rows of buttons. Press the "Change Key" softkey (under the display). Press No until you see headset key... press Yes. Press the superkey again to get out of the programming. Now that you've got the key programmed for headset, press it, if it's lit, press it again. Test your speakerphone. If this doesn't work, I believe you would have a defective phone and should report it to your system admin or telephone system vendor for repair/replace.
this dosnt work this way,
go to the logitech site, look fore the right set, disconnect the usb connector from de pc, then download/install the right software en untill you asked fore plug in the usb connector then plug in, it will working, unless you have installed msn under windows vista, this is not working togehter.
I came here looking for a better solution than what I already have. Mine does the same thing at least a few times a day. First make sure that Skype logs you in automatically when your computer starts, second when the phone says disconnected, with the computer on, unplug the usb cable, wait for the phone to say "searching base" and then plug it back in. That usually solves it for me, hope it helps.
Handset shows DISCONNECTED.
On Logitech support page lookup document 6674 (search).
Boot computer with minimum og services and programs running.
Start Logitech handset program - this starts skype.
the handset will disconnect.
As soon I start the new LIVE MESSENGER BETA - the hanset disconnect.
Therefor I installed a msn messenger extension in Skype extras.
This gives me the opertunity to use msn messenger without using the LIVE MESSENGER PROGRAM - if I do - Logitech Handset will not work.
