Its not fully ejecting the tape. Return it or get it repaired, you can try to do it yourself but isn't recommended.

MY RCA VCR - TIMER LIGHT ALWAYS FLASHES. WHEN i TRY TO RECORD OR TURN OFF VCR IT EJECTS TAPE.

If it plays a tape OK, then it could be that you have a timer set. In which case clear it! Or that you are using a blank tape where the slot at the back is open. If you are using a blank tape which is good and it still ejects the tape after setting the recording. Then it's likely the recording tab sensor - that detects the slot at the back of the tape - is either bent or broken.

Tape keeps ejecting

You can check tape player for any type of object lodged in it. Maybe unplug and turn upside down to here anything inside. Or even any broken tape that come off inside. The only other thing is that the belts inside are worn and will not put device back in play mode.

Have an RCA VR618HF VCR. Have cleaned the head and roller. Have problem with inserting tape, unit shut after about 10 sec. and eats tape. Took top off to watch. Tape goes in, two arms strect the tape...

Before you insert the cartage. Look to see if the carriage is all the way back. If it not. The unit is out of sync. A gear has slipped a tooth some where. I don't about this particular model, some vcrs have a belt drive, Take the bottom off and see if there is a belt. It could be slipping or broke.

Sony SLV-640HF VHS VCR ejects any tape after a couple of seconds

While the tape may appear to be loading properly, it is not. These units have a known problem with the grease at the loading arm getting sticky. This means that the tape is not loaded properly and will not move through the VCR properly. This is detected as the hubs not moving and the unit will eject the tape to prevent damage. This is a simple repair for anyone that has done these before, but requires an alignment check. This check requires a special alignment tape and equipment.

This should be a labor only repair.

VCR ejects blank tape only

It sounds like the cassette is not releasing the tape so the machine can put it around the heads. This could damage the machine. Don't use it. A two dollar tape is not worth damaging your vcr. Throw it away.

Panasonic AG-DV1000 ejecting tapes

This unit just needs the standard belt job. The rubber parts probably got old sitting around in the back romm of the university.

Could do it yourself if you are the like to take things apart type. Otherwise, a repair shop can do it very affordably.

SLV-660HV Will not load

If you removed the tape carriage assembly, gear timing is probably off, assuming it is gear driven. Being one tooth off will prevent things from working properly. Gears will often have a mark (like an arrow or dot) which must be lined up with each other, in a mode specified in manufacturer service literature. Another possibility is sensors. There are sensors (usually optical) which tell the logic when the tape is properly loaded. If one of these is broken, or otherwise non-functional, logic circuitry will go into error mode, and, in this case, eject tape & display an error code. Lastly, check your mode switch. This tells the logic what position the mechanicals are in (gears/levers/slides). Again, if this is awry, you will have an error condition.

Video tape ejects itself

not to overlook the obvious but check to make sure the record safe tab is still on the tape. (little black tab on lower left corner on back of tape)if tab is gone the machine will not go into record mode.

Tracking problem

Suggestions: 1. Do a "reset" by unplugging VCR for 30 seconds or so. Doubtful to fix- but worth a try. 2. Pull the top cover, load a tape and play. Does the tape seem to wander up and down across the video or control heads? If so, this is a mechanical problem- perhaps a tape guide is broken. 3. Electronic problem: If this is the case, probably trash the unit unless unit is a high dollar ($250 or up). VCRs (like most other consumer electronics) are throw away items these days.
