My Washer worked fine yesterday, then when I went to use it today, it won't start a wash cycle. I can hear it click on, but no water flows. I checked the water connections and they are fine- there is water coming from the pipes. The dryer part is working well, I just can't get the water to start a wash cycle. Is there a pump that may need to be repaired/replaced?
Where the water hoses connect is called the water valve[you called it a pump]this is how it works.when electricity is present at the water valve, the valve coil opens up and lets the water in based on the water pressure from your house[just like when you open the kitchen sink facuet]now what happens sometimes is minerals will get into the water valve screens and block or plug them up,and then no water although you may hear a hum because the valve coils are energized.so what you do to check that is turn off your house water and remove the hoses at the washer, and look into the water valve, and you will see the screens.if blocked then remove with a small tool, clean, reshape the screen and reinstall.also flush your hoses into a bucket before reconnecting......now if that dosent fix your washer, you would next do a voltage check at the water valve.if you have voltage and not working then replace water valve.if no voltage when pushed botton for water then you may have computer board problems
