Dell vostro a860 won't connect to internet

Why not? Do you have the wireless turned on? Did you put the correct password in?

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

If you put the wrong password in, it will never connect. it will keep trying to connect but never will.

Authentication

That means you probably don't have the password or the Authentication Type set correctly.

For Windows XP below:
Click Start/Control Panel/Network Connections then Right Click on the Wireless Network Connection and select Properties. When the Properties window open click the Wireless Networks tab. Click on the SSID for your wireless network that you connect to and the Properties window will open. You can change the Authentication Type to match the type set in your wireless router and you can also change your password or Network Key to make sure you have it in correctly.

For Windows Vista below:

Click Start/Control Panel/Network and Sharing Center then look to the left of the open window and click Manage Wireless Networks. Find the SSID of the network that you connect to and double click it. When the window opens click the Security tab to change the Security Type (which is the Authentication), The Encryption Type and the Network Security Key (which is the password).

For Windows 7 below:
Click Start/Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network and Sharing Center then look to the left and select Manage Wireless Networks. Find the SSID of the network that you connect to and double click it. When the window opens click the Security tab to change the Security Type (which is the Authentication), The Encryption Type and the Network Security Key (which is the password).

I have an mfc240c fax. i just changed to comcast and now i can only send and not receive. comcast says it's not their problem, and they don't work on fax machines. however, it was working just fine...

well, comcast is digital transmission whereas fax machines are analog. you can try to change the transmission mode/speed which sometimes helps. press "menu" "2" "0" "2", use your down/up arrows to change from "normal" to "basic", then press "menu" again to make setting take effect. press stop key once or twice to return to normal display. fax machines are only reliable on analog lines. so if problem persists, only option left is to have a dedicated analog line run for your fax.

hth and good luck,
razors

For the beggining try to sign in from the webinterface: Yahoo Mail. If it works, then changing connection options for your messenger. It could have changed. If it doesn't work try to reinstall Yahoo Messenger. Good luck.

It wont set up to wifi on my DS I don't know what to do?

First of all, turn on your DSi. Then navigate to the wrench which is "System Settings."
Select "Internet" and then select "Connection Settings."
Search for the connection your best choice and will display all possible networks in the area. You do this by selecting "search for an access point." You may choose from wireless networks that are unsecured and do not require a password, or networks that are secure with WEP and do require a password.
If you have WPA secured connection simply select "change security settings" to enter a WPA key.
You should be connected.
BE AWARE, some secure connections are not allowed. You can change these on your routers local ip to either WEP or WPA.
