No, it has no built-in Microphone, you'll need external microphone to record voice or do audio calls/chats, etc.. Hope this helps.
Let me know if you need further help.
Thanks for using FixYa.
One- the mic is broken and you need to get it replace
Two- You might need a driver to help the pc to communicate with your mic....(Whats a driver? A driver is a light weight software that helps the windows to notice a device that is attached to the pc)....
the driver can be found at the company's website under the title "Drivers and Support"...... in this case you would go to acer.com to look for a driver
I suggest you go into control panel and device manager and see if your internal mic is listed there. If it is right click on it and see if it is selected as your default mic. I believe it may be un-selected. If that doesn't work I would just use the external mic with Skype as the internal mics with most laptops aren't that good anyway.
Hello and Welcome to FixYa! NO, sad but true Aspire 5332 doesn't have a in-built Mic, you need to buy a separate one and plug it in the Mic jack. I hope you understand, If you are having any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards, Waqar.
Please try the following: Click Start > Control Panel If the title of your control panel says "Pick a Category", click "Switch to classic view" on the left hand side of he screen. Otherwise, just follow the steps below: Open "Sounds and audio devices" Go to the "Audio" tab Click the "Volume" button under the "sound recording" section Make sure the checkbox by "Select" under Mic Volume is checked, and raise the volume of your microphone here. Click OK until you are back in the control panel. Try your microphone again. If it still does not work, let us know so we can continue to help.
