Question about Quartet gbc 30S Shredder
I've used it at my home almost daily ffor several years for mail with no problems. But just within the last month, it has gotten slower and slower to where I can even smell the motor burning and it won't switch off on its own. Might it need oil? I've never oiled it. If so where would I put the oil? Or might those oil sheets be better? OR did something become dislodged when my dog dumped it over repeatedly? If I were to open it up might I be able to fix something? Thanks for whatever ideas you can give.
I guess I have to say Thanks but No thanks. The gal from the company said that most likely the small piece inside the blades got broken off when my dog kept dumping the container so that it can no longer turn off on its own. As far as its slowness, maybe oil or age was the issue. Anyway I was able to find a similar style on line and already purchased one. BUT I will definitely remember your site for my next repair. Do you just do tech equipment or is other small electrical equipment included as well??? My thanks for your response.

I was having the same problem with my shredder. I called
customer service; I was informed it was the gears on the inside of my shredder.
My shredder is no longer under warranty. However, she is mailing me out the
part I need for a small fee. Their customer service number is 1-800-327-8508 in
the USA and international only 1-310-793-5650. I do hope this help you!
