Same problem here. Running XP Media Center SP3. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling visual C++ from the disc as well as from the website. No matter what I do, I just keep having the same problem. This one is the full version of DNS 10 but I don't think it matters since others are having the same problem with the upgrade.

SOURCE: MY DRAGON NATURALLY SPEAKING 10-PROFESSIONAL DOES

Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 has not been tested to work with web based e-mail. It's also the same thing with Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 regardless of any version. As a work around and fix for this, if you want to use it through on any web based e-mail is to use the Dictation box.
Here are the simple steps to access the Dictation box:
1.Make sure you have successfully loaded a working user profile. 2.On the dragon bar, go to tools and then go to "Dictation Box" 3.Here, you can start dictating e-mail messages and use the "Transfer" button to transfer text in AOL E-mail.
I hope this solves your current problem.

Lookup serial number

The key might be on the manual or the box if its not on the cd.
Dragon Naturally Speaking is a software program designed by Nuance Communications that enables a user to speak instead of type to both transcribe information and control his computer. This is beneficial if you don't like typing or physically cannot do it.
The software requires a headset microphone to work and some configuration to get started. To continue using Dragon Naturally Speaking, you must register it or it disables itself.
Activation is done online and requires a product serial number.
The location of the serial number varies depending on the software version, but it should be located on the box, CD case or manual.

Start Dragon Naturally Speaking.
When it completes the loading process, click "Activate Now" when prompted and then click "Activate Automatically."
Enter the serial number in the space provided and click "Generate Activation Key."
Copy the activation key into the activation text box and click "OK" to activate Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Can Dragon 10 be installed on Windows 7, 64 Bit?

Apparently you need update 10.1 to work on a 64 bit system. Check this out: http://community.nuance.com/blogs/dragon/archive/2009/03/25/dragon-preferred-and-standard-10-1-updates-for-vista-64-available-in-english.aspx

After I loaded Microsoft Office 2010 onto my H.P. Pavilion p6210t Windows 7 Home Premium PC, my Dragon 10, natural speaking program no longer is functional. How can this be fixed/repaired. I am searching...

You could try installing Dragon on top of Office however, if that doesn't work sounds to me like there is a serious conflict here between your Dragon programme and MS Office. I would then type 'restore point' in the search box, select a time just before Office was installed and restore your system. Check it is working OK before trying again by installing Office manually without Microsofts speech recognition programme.
I hope that helps.

What compatability is listed on the box? If it doesn't have Vista listed, you'll probably have to swap it.
