I have tried all the suggestions to fix my rf tech 433 mhz remote sensor without success. Could the sensor be faulty and, if so, where could I get a replacement ?

If the sensor is faulty, you can buy it from most of the electronic spare part shops. But, fault to the infrared sensor is very rare. Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

Changed battery in the remote starter and now won't open doors or start the car

Possible it may need to be set up again. If you take it to where it was installed I am sure they will set it again for you without a charge.

We have lost power a couple times this week and our system had reset, losing our third line and voicemail greeting will not prompt when suppose to. We still have out greeting, it is just not picking up.

What type of System is it? Norstar systems default to 2 lines if they loose memory (which isn't supposed to happen). That being said, I recently had had to replace an old Norstar 616 that would not hold memory after a power outage. I took the KSU apart and could not find any internal battery to replace. I'm guessing some kind of capacitor ?? In any case the system had to be replaced. Bill C. www.dyna-tech.us We also do remote programming on Norstar CICS ans MICS.

I had the same problem and finally found my manual. Here's what to do, everyone!

1. Take back panel off the sending unit, where the three batteries are, by unscrewing the 4 phillips head screws (assuming you, like I, had put the screws back in after installing new batteries). You will see a little gray button in a hole above where the batteries are; the little button is one you can push down with the same phillips screwdriver you took the 4 screws out with - don't do this yet.

2. Now, hold down the "channel" button on front of receiver panel for 2 sec, until the dash in the "ch" box and the place where the temp is supposed to be starts blinking.

3. Now, while these indicia are blinking on the panel, push the little gray button down and hold it for 2 seconds. This causes the transmitter to "register" with the receiver. You should now see a 1 in the "ch" box and get a temp reading.

4. Put screws back on, put receiver where you want it, proceed with rest of your life.
