is the motor coming on or is it just the ignition making the hum? Sounds like a bad motor.

Dayton is owened by Desa International so the best bet is to go to the Enerco/ Mr. heater website or call 1-800-251-0001. his is the actual manufacturer so you don't have to pay the mark up of a retail supplier.

I have a master heater b150b 150,000 btu kerosene heater motor and fan blowing and i can see tho igniter lighting but it seems like no fuel been sitting awhile it will not light

Provided that you know the unit has sufficient fuel and there is no dirt or water in the fuel you have a classic All Pro, Reddy Heat, Master Heater, etc problem. They are all made by DESA International and similar in operation. They control fuel pressure by bleed air. As the air filter plugs up the pressure changes and that is why your unit runs with the top off. You allow more air to flow. You need to replace the air filter and set the pump pressure. I have a tip at

which is written for Reddy Heaters but as I said before they are all the same. It tells you how to complete the repair and where to get the parts.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

150,000 BTU propane Reddy Heater shuts off after ignition

Is there a frost line on your LP tank, if so you may need to replace the tank with a larger tank or refill your tank. This can happen if the tank your using is too low or too small (use 100 lb tank or greater). If there is no frost line it may be an issue with the thermocouple. The manufacturer offers a service manual and owner's manuals on there site. This should assist you... Thank you

Coleman forced air furnace blower

Rmove the two screws holding the blower in place and slide it out. With the power off, rotate the wheel and inspect for debris or an impingement. If everything turns easy, you have a bad motor or start capacitor. If you have rubbing, adjust the wheel. If the motor will not turn, replace it.

Loud humming

If this is an electric resistance heater then there is no power supply or transformer. I had a baseboard heater that would hum loudly and I found there's a wire that runs along the bottom to connect the far end of the heat element to the electrical wiring at the supply end. This wire becomes magnetized from the current flowing through it and vibrates in the channel it runs through. I was able to open this channel and squirt a bit of silicone caulk in to keep the wire from vibrating and the hum is gone.
