GO INTO CONTROL PANAL AND FIND SOUND DOUBLE CLICK ON OR OPEN THE FOLDER, CHECK OUT SOUND PUT EVERYTING TO DEFAULT WINDOW AND AFTER GETTING EVERYTHING TO WORK PROPERLY THAN GO AND FIND THE SOUND CARD OR SOUND DEVICE THAT MATCHS YOUR CONFIGERAtion of your system.
in that same section is called programs you can go threw the list and high light where you having the problem and double click on that file to see if any error are there.
last you check other file networking and sharing of information and computer interfacing to software
last check device manager in the control panal you are looking for any marks other than a green check mark or say every thing is working properly
