Question about Zoom X6 Adsl Wireless Gateway Rohs Router

1 Answer

Wireless phone connects and then drops.

Wireless network work flawlessly with laptops. My htc shadow 2 works well on other networks such as coffee shops with its wifi uma. After reboot of router it connects and functions well for 2 minutes and then drops its connection . Rebooting the route will again establish a connection only to have it drop. My son's htc g1 will do the same. I have tried changing channels but the results are the same. Some techs I have talked to feel it is a router setting. What do you think?

HOW TO CHANGE THE INTERNET SETTINGS IN THE HTC WILDFIRE A3333

Wi-Fi provides wireless Internet access over distances of up to 100 meters (00 feet).

To use Wi-Fi on your phone, you need access to a wireless access point or "hotspot". The availability
and range of the Wi-Fi signal depends on the number, infrastructure, and other objects
through which the signal passes.

Turning Wi-Fi on and connecting to a wireless network
From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks.
Select the Wi-Fi check box to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone then scans for available wireless
networks.

Tap Wi-Fi settings. The network names and security settings of detected Wi-Fi networks
are displayed in the Wi-Fi networks section.
If the wireless network you want to connect to is not in the list of detected networks,
scroll down the screen, and then tap Add Wi-Fi network. Enter the wireless network
settings, and then tap Save.

Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
If you selected an open network, you will be automatically connected to the network.
If you selected a network that is secured with WEP, enter the key and then tap
Connect.

Depending on the network type and its security settings, you may also need to enter more information
or choose a security certificate.
When your phone is connected to a wireless network, the Wi-Fi icon appears in the
status bar and tells you the approximate signal strength (number of bands that light up).
The next time your phone connects to a previously accessed secured wireless network, you
will not be prompted to enter the key or other security information again, unless you reset
your phone to its factory default settings.

I have bsnl 3g sim, how to configure gprs in htc wildfire a3333

BSNL 3G Configuration for HTC Wildfire (A3333) - Postpaid Connection:

1. Speak to BSNL customer Service center and get the confirmation whether 3G service is activated.

2. Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> New APN ->

Name: bsnlnet

APN: bsnlnet

don't change anything else and just save the settings.

3. Under 'Network Mode' the option selected should be 'GSM/WCDMA auto'

4. Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Select 'Mobile Network' to connect to internet and look for see letter 'H' at the top near the coverage bars.

5. Lauch the browser and check 'Google.com'

Its working fine for me after a long struggle with BSNL customer care, Finally got fixed by applying the above fix.

Gateway purchased new 3/2010 has been connecting flawlessly to wireless internet until a few weeks ago. Solution had been to click on Open Network and Sharing Center, click on Troubleshoot problems, click...

Are you connecting to your own wireless router? If yes, have you changed anything in its configuration, or inadvertently reset it? If you're connecting to someone else's router (neighbor, etc.) it could be that they have locked you out. Does the wireless network show as secured? This sounds more like a security issue than hardware or driver.

Windows cannot connect to the wireless network

I would remove old cache wireless network connections. Example is when you once connect to a free wireless access at Library or Coffee Shop. Windows save all of these profiles and this will cause problems connecting. Then use Microsoft Wireless Troubleshooting resource:

Good luck

Connection drops and no available network

So you are using windows Vista and the wireless connection is dropping.
Do you have any other wireless computer which is working properly ?
If the other wireless is working properly then the problem is with the wireless adapter. Now you have already upgraded the drivers, then there is nothing much we can do.
If you do not have any other wireless laptop working wirelessly, then try to bring another wireless laptop in the network and check whether it works properly.
If you face the same problem on that computer also that means the router might be having problem

Wireless

I believe your laptop has a built in Wi-fi. You'll just need to go to a hot spot with free wifi service like Starbucks, Airport, Coffee shop and something like that.

To connect to an available wireless network

For WIn XP:

1. Right-click the little computer icon that says wireless network at the bottom right-hand by the clock and select "View Available Wireless Network". You can see there a name of an available wireless service, just double-click the one that says unsecured wireless network. That should do it. You should be able to go online.

For Windows Vista

1. Right-Click the computer icon at the bottom right hand by the time and select "Connect to a Network"
2. Look for a network name without security or password and just double-click it. Internet should work now on your laptop.

Problems with wireless and MS Vista

Try these first:

change channels to 1-6-or 11. Make sure you change all of your wireless computers4.gif.

check is to make sure you are NOT using "IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network."

You can find at setting under "Wireless Network Connection Properties" and then under "Authentication" tab of your network properties.

This particular authentication method is periodically logging you off the network and re-authenticating.

Check the adapter in device manager to make sure that windows is not shutting the adapter down to save power.

Cordless phones1.gif and wireless ethernet cards use overlapping frequencies. As a test, you can unplug the AC cords from all the cordless phones in the area and see if it helps.
