Blue screen with technical information: STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE579D868, 0x00000000, 0xF77E3E4C, 0x00000002)

  • Remove all USB attached devices like drives.
  • To eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC, open case, and remove all RAM. Test one DIMM at time, one slot at a time.
Re-install Windows. Clean install works best, but all data will be lost.
  • Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

Cannot get sound on any outlet port

Download and install Media Player Classic and use it.Are you using onboard audio or an add-on card? Make sure that the BIOS is set for one or the other (in other words, the internal audio disabled when using an add-on card), and installing the latest drivers for all.

Is this a sound problem with Windows Media Player 9? If so, I found a thread online which should be of some help. The solution from that site is as follows:
"One thing comes to mind. Open WMP, go to Tools, Options, Devices and wait till the window populates. Then highlight Speakers and click the Properties button.
Where it says, "Audio Device to Use", try changing to "Default Direct Sound Device". If that is already chosen, choose your soundcard from the dropdown list."

For the full thread, go here: http://www.windowsbbs.com/windows-xp/16782-windows-media-player-9-0xc00d11ba-cannot-play-file.html

Stop:0x000000A5 (0x0001000A, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

"Stop: 0x000000A5" error message typically indicates that the computer BIOS is incompatible with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard that is supported in Windows 7. However, this error can also occur because the computer hardware, the peripherals, or the drivers for those devices are incompatible with Windows 7.

Startup Repair from the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)

1. Insert the Windows 7 installation disc into the disc drive, and then start the computer.
2. Press a key when the message indicating "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD ...". appears.
3. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard or input method, and then click Next.
4. Click Repair your computer.
5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, choose the drive of your Windows installation and click Next.
6. At the System Recovery Options Dialog Box, click on Repair your computer.
7. Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
8. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.

0xC00D11BA: Cannot play the file

Hi,
Your sound device is in use by another program. Quit other programs that may be using your sound device, and then try to play the file again.
Your sound device is not functioning properly. To troubleshoot the problem, see the Sound Troubleshooter in Windows Help or refer to your sound device's documentation.
You do not have a sound device installed on your computer. Install a sound device, and then try to play the file again.

Thanks

Bsod 0xdeaddead. restart and when it wants to.

No programs added. Microsoft updates can crash to BSOD 0xdeaddead 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000. When I restart it gos to bsod above. Will be working on a file and it will crash to the bsod above. Not every Microsoft update will crash in the process of installing but some have. No new hardware or software has been added for sometime now. Streets and Trips has been loaded and taken off several times because it will not run with out a startup error. Everything other than that works fine.
