Re: can't find filter on hotpoint wm63p
Remove lower rear panel of washer, locate and remove the large black hose fastened to bottom of tub, you will find the plastic filter inside the hose, remove and clean.

If you have changed the brushes are satisfied that they are fitted correctly, then it can be a couple of possibilities.
1- The motor itself is faulty.Even though it does the wash o/k it is possible the spin winding is faulty.
2- The prograqmmer is faulty.
Make sure the pump is working o/k, and that all the water has drained out, as this would stop it spinning
No test available other than:
Remove pump - check motor will turn by rotating impellor. There is a slight resistance then moves freely, then slight resistance and freely again. This is correct for this machine. worth checking there is no hair, elastic band or other obstruction around the impellor fins and shaft whilst the pump is out.
There is no spin cycle so you have to use rinse & spin, which means if the pump is shot you need to empty the machine each time :(
Worth checking lower filter as stated and blowing down the drain hose whilst the pump is off to check for obstructions.
The resolution to my problem was a new pump - £20.
All working fine again now !
Probably needs the filter cleaning.
Remove lower rear panel.
Remove large black hose onto drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for obstruction here and in the pump itself.

I would suggest you check the filter.
Remove rear panel completely, locate and remove large black hose fastened to bottom of tub.
Remove and clean plastic filter inside hose,, check drain hose for partial obstruction, refit filter and hose.
Make sure drain hose is not kinked or trapped, and make sure outlet is not obstructed.
Refit rear panel, and test.

You need to check and clean filter first.
You will find the filter is normally located behind a removable plastic cover at the front right side of the m/c.
Make sure the drain hose is not kinked or restricted..
Make sure you have not selected rinse hold..
Obviosly make sure pump is actually working.
Plz rate this solution .Thanks.
