Wiring poitive and negative

I have a Homedics SBM 500 H massage cushion.

I am replacing the jack plug which was pulled off. Two fused black wires come from the back of the chair to the jack plug whcih connects to the DC power pack. One wire has long dashes on it and one has nothing. Does anyone know which is positive and which is negative.

Hi, The positive is the marked wire whether it is dashes, printing or a stripe. The center connector on the jack is also usually the positive terminal. Good Luck!

Controls will not work

Have you checked the remote control sometimes a wire gets pinched, or the circuit board is bad. The main harness may be bad, again the circuit board.

I'm having a problem with my Homedics SBM 300H Massager. I was using it when it suddenly stopped, after hearing a faint "pop" sound from it. I tried re-plugging it in another outlet but still no...

Yes there was a short circuit and am sure the massager and the cpomputer where plugged in the sane extension box that was why there was loss of power when the massager stopped working. For the massager it is the fuse so get a new fuse for it.

Doesn't work at all

Well it has a zipper in the back have you ever unzipped it? Because my mom hers didnt work, so i unzipped it and some cord was unplugged so that might just be it, you need to unzip the whole thing, and pull it out because some of the wires hide.
