Re: I cant use my USB conector in PC
You just need to find a free driver to download for the computer to be able to read the device. After the driver is downloaded and installed, it should read automatically. At least that's how it works with windows vista. IF you have XP, you might need to run the wizard after the driver is installed

Go to: http://www.motoroladownloads.webs.com Register your email address, (Then, read the information to download the appropriate USB Drivers and install them.) Other downloads for your phone are also available there as you'll need them, too.
You can also Download Motorola Phone Tools (PC Suite) for your computer. This will get you up and running.
Note: Make sure to update the Motorola Phone Tools program a couple of times until you have v5.0.5 (or better if available).
First check out where is your systen trying to boot from, be sure that HD is on the list. Also check in dos config that it recognizes the hard drive you have in your computer. If it doesn't appear check first the conections of the hard drive. If its conected, unplugged it and check it in othe computer, see if the other computer works with it, if that works try to connect in diferent ata entrance and reboot. Also try with diferent transfer data cables. Sorry if i cant post some images, at this moment i dont have any VAIO with me so i can show you where are the cables or the ATA conectors.
If you have tried it on several computers, then it seems there is something wrong with the HD or its cable. Are you able to use another USB cable with it to see if that fixes it? I'm assuming the power light is on, and you can hear the drive spinning?
I bought an external drive about 2 years back. It worked beautifully but close to a year after purchase stopped working. Being a technician, I removed the drive from the case and connected it inside my PC where it still works fine. The USB circuitry in the case had failed, not the drive, which was good for me.
