Question about HP Photosmart M407 Digital Camera
I have an hp m407. it has been a great camera and we have gotten tons of use. it is starting to show wear. sometimes i take a pic and the screen flashes red and it says error saving image. it randomly happens. weeks would go by without it happening, then it'll happen on a reg basis for a few days. i would just turn cam on and off and it would work fine. hence my main problem. the power button which is a sliding one, fell off. is this something that could easily be snapped back on or something? any thoughts on error saving image? hp tech said my software needed reset. it happens on the camera, not while trying to save it to computer.
thanks in advance
Error the saving the image may require a firmware update to the camera. Go to Hp.com for firmware and instructions on the update.
For the power button, I suggest you take apart the camera: Remove the 5 black and 1 silver screws and case is snapped together from the top. Doing so exposes the camera. Turn the black half of the case apart and inspect your button. The power button should snap back in. Just be careful that it may have (or had) a tab that held the power button in place. This tab may have broken off. Once the button is back in, assemble the camera and screw it shut.
