How can you display the lamp hours on a Mitsubishi XL5U

Turn off and unplug the projector.
Locate the lamp cover on the projector.
Remove the lamp cover.
Take out the old lamp.
Insert the new lamp.
Replace the lamp cover.
Reset the lamp hours:
Press the Enter button to display the "Option" menu.
Use the 5 or 6 button to select "Lamp Runtime".
Press and hold the Enter button for approximately 3 seconds.
The "Lamp Runtime" will change to "Time Reset [Power Off]".
Turn off the power and disconnect the power cord.
Finally, plug in and turn on the projector.

Sir try to reset the lamp timer. you should press the "display" button on the remote then "5" then the "volume up key" and power "on" you should do this while the tv is in standby mode. Then press "Jump" 3 times to enter the DE service menu. Your tv will display the total lamp hours. Reset the lamp time by pressing channel 3, then mute, then enter. this will make your lamp hour timer to zero. Good day and best regards.

Hi, on the control panel you will see buttons that look like tape forward or rewind. Press both buttons and the power button all at the same time for about three seconds. This will reset your lamp or start up the mitsubishi XL5U projector after lamp change. I hope you find this helpful.

It could be the lamp, they have an approximate 1 year life depending on conditions. If you bought the TV new, it has a 1 year warranty and labor you might want to contact warranty support. They will send you a new lamp.

mitsubishi doesn't have a lamp timer that can be accessed. it will have an on screen message when it gets close, and it'll turn off when it is exceeded.

Press the left and right buttons, as well as the power button once the lamp has turned on. This will reset the lamp life counter.

The lamp in this TV is very easy to change. I recommend to use your owners manual, but the front cover snaps off, using screw driver open lamp door, unscrew lamp, pull out with handle, make sure lamp is cool. Replace, follow onscreen display to reset lamp hours. Use remote to enter information.
