This is a new problem for me - I was able to hot sync before - but now the palm crashes and reboots each time when I press the hot sync button. At the same time, when I click on one program (epocrates), the same crashing and rebooting also started. I wonder if I should erase that program (used to work perfectly): would that fix the sync problem? My on/off button doesn't work anymore either, so I turn the palm on with one of the 4 keys on the front (home, calendar, contacts, or web): is there another way to hard reset?
You could delete that app if you want, however I would go into hotsync config and sync only one section at a time, such as Notes, but not contacts or calendar (or anything else). If it works then add a section, such as contacts. Keep adding sections until it malfunctions. Pimlico software makes a product dbfixit ($) that can fix database (blob errors). You can download and install it, and it will report on (but not fix) any errors it finds.

Maybe you could also try updating Palm Desktop or maybe downgrading Palm Desktop because I have that exact same PDA and I know it's old. If neither of those work, just pull a system restore or whatever you had planned.
Try this, uninstall your current version of Palm Desktop, then go to this link on the Palm support website http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/tungsten/tx/unlocked/home/page_en.html this will give you the link to the download for the TX version of Palm Desktop, this may or may not fix your particular problem but it is worth a try.
assuming that you use your palm tx on a windows xp system, files from the emails could be corrupted. are you using palm desktop or outlook?
if you are using palm desktop, you can rename the back-up folder to old and try to resync
i had that problem too. sorry it is bugging you. i know you probably want to sync your data rught now. So for now try to disable the syncing of documents to go (just for now) on palm desktop, look for the conduits and temporarily disable the syncing of docs to go. Also ensure you plug in your pda charger as well as the usb cable (I found out this helps through experience) and sync. (Just to back it up)
as for the documents to go, there is probably a file(document) that is generating the errors. please look through documents to go on your palm desktop and remove any file you feel is not necessary. also take note that it is best if your pda has some free memory on it. you may want to save those documents on a disk (If you are not already that is..) clearing up ram made my tx more stable esp during hot sync.
