Question about LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer

LG Tromm Model # WM2075CW doesn't drain - water everywhere!

I have the LG Tromm Model # WM2075CW. About a week ago, the water failed to drain and began leaking from the bottom of the door where the clothes are loaded. My first steps in troubleshooting were to check all hoses (the one that drains from the tub to the pump housing, also the one that goes from the pump hosing to the fitting mounted on the back of the washer and lastly the hose that goes from the fitting to the drain pipe. I also removed and cleaned the filter located on the front lower left of the washing machine. Since I found no blockage in the hoses or the pump housing (and was able to **** the remaining water from the washing machine using my shop vac) I figured the pump was bad. This has been removed and replaced but the washing machine is still overfilling and water is draining all over the floor. I assume that the control panel is bad but am hoping that there might be a water level sensor that is bad. Is this a possibility? How does the drain cycle get triggered? Is it on a timer as part of the cleaning and rinsing cycle or is there a sensor that could be bad? any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Ed

Unfortunately, the troubleshooting guide only directs me to rectify issues associated with a blockage in the drainage system. I checked all hoses and even replaced the pump that pushes the water out of the washer but my problem still persists. I tried calling the lg 1-800 support number but they were also only able to assist with issues related to a blockage or bent hose. However, they did give me numbers of a few service centers in the area and I am hoping to talk to a technician on Monday morning for additional direction. I will post a follow-up comment for others to use as reference if I am able to get some useful information.

I think my issue is connected to the control panel or a water sensor (if the machine has one). It appears that the drainage pump, the one I just replaced is not being triggered to turn on and push the water our of the machine. Any additional input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Again,

Thanks for all the feedback and assistance. I finally broke down and called a professional to come and fix the washing machine. It turned out to be a hose inside the machine that had a tear and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, I was at work when it was fixed and my sister-in-law couldn't give me specifices as to which hose or how it was accessed. Good luck to anyone else that is having problems and just say no to LG if given the chance.

Not sure if this will help but .... Take the drain filter out and look behind it with a flashlight. We had this problem and discovered a metal bottle top lodged in the hole which goes to the pump. Removed the bottle top easily and the machine works fine.

LG WM2075CW seems to leak AFTER a load is finished. Wtare found front left under washer and also in the drawers of the pedestal. Anyones best guess?

(1) If the washer is leaking water the drain pump might have a hole or crack. Or, the bearings might be worn out. Replace the drain pump if it is leaking water, they're not repairable.
(2) Check the tub seal for tears or cracks.
(3) Check the door boot seal for condition.
(4) Also check the tub-to-pump drain hose for cracks or tears.
(5) Lastly, check the drain hose for condition.
Replace whichever offending part that is found to be defective.

I need to force my lg tromm to drain

My LG Tromm washer has a small door on the bottom left hand side on the front of the washer. Open the door and you will find the drain filter and a stoppered, small rubber tube. Position something to capture the washer water under the small rubber tube and pull the plug.. This will drain all the water from the washer.

Water not filling machine and do not see suds but it does sound like its filling up. Hear it filling but do not see any water

Not sure of your model but the larger LG front loaders have 2 pumps, 1 for drain and other to pump water up over the clothes through a fitting in the top of the door rubber seal. If something is stuck in the pump or the pump has failed the clothes wont get wet.

I have the LG Tromm 27'' Front Loader model WM2277HW

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

LG Tromm WM2075CW will not spin. I've done

Check first if repositioning the drain hose would help solve the problem. If your unit employs a drain valve, have it checked out. It has a solenoid or a small motor that opens and closes the part. Check as well the drain pump if it is running or no power is being supplied. Have the wire checked to see if there are loose connections.

LG Tromm WM2277HW during high speed spin makes noise

I had exactly the same symptom...grinding noise only during high speed spin cycle.

I took the top and back panels off to see how the drain hoses etc. connected. Not wanting to take it apart further, I eventually just took the washing machine outside (I knew I was going to be dealing with water!), pulled the debris catcher front side bottom, and let rip with a garden hose inside the drum with the catcher out (leaving an open drain that could flow unimpeded).

Water flowed quickly out of the open drain, and lo and behold, a small drill bit came out with the water flow. This bit, presumably had gotten through the drum grating, and was resting on the bottom of the housing, scraping and grinding when the drum was spinning.
