Select Windows Firewall

make sure vista recignized your wifi card.
control panel, add/remove hardware- hardware list- if not there then search for new hardware. if it is there, then right click and select drivers at the top dropdown menu then update driver.
Also, go to dell.com
find the support section and find drivers and downloads. Enter service tag number and select wireless as your category and install the necessary driver for your dell laptops wifi card
Go to http://support.dell.com and under the drivers and downloads section, enter your Service Tag, and download and install the latest Wireless Card driver for your model. Update to latest BIOS version as well.
