As long as it's the same type, there should be no problems, you will see more stability with a larger power supply. The board is only going to use what it uses anyway, but down the road if yo plan on running SLI or something like that it will come in handy. I have 450 in mine and run 2 video cards. Your power curve will be flat, in other words no voltage spikes. good luck

Make sure you have the right connector(s) on your new power supply. The main one is 20 or 24 pin, and several four pin. Double check what you have now and make sure your new one has the ones you need.

You will have to figure out if your current case is ATX or Micro-ATX. Afterward find a power-supply online that will fit an ATX or Micro-ATX case. Another factor to consider is your motherboard's power connector. Some motherboards can only take a 20 pin while others take a 24 pin.

Perhaps a good power supply choice would be a PSU that has a 20+4 pin motherboard connector.

You can find some good Power Supplies online here. Just use the navigation menu at the top and go to: Computer Hardware>Power Supplies. After select, "Power Supplies" on the left and you will be able to find PSUs for desktop computers. I recommend the PC Power & Cooling brand, they are extremely reliable. Some of their PSUs also offer the 20+4 pin connectors.

Remember, it must fit your case and must fit your motherboard! Have a great evening.

Hi, when i tried to connect to the internet, it shows "OS error, may be the modem on your remote computer is out of version please solve my problem

you might have to open up your network connections click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled
make sure your modem/routers settings are correct ie:password user name, firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem first to make sure that you are getting a connection
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down network adapters + expand Ethernet driver you might see a yellow question mark? This means you need to update the driver right click you will have options to update driver disable uninstall or select properties general you will have the options to troubleshoot or to update driver rollback or uninstall
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver right click to install driver
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online
hope this helps

Your automatic update from microsoft probably updated your machine and shut it off, by default it is set to update if their is one, every tuesday at 2:00 or 3:00 am and will either restart or shut down your machine.

if thats not it then your computer may have gone into hibernation or standby.

Flashing orange light on front of my dell 5150 desktop, will not turn on, even after unplugging for one hour. when plugged back in, flashes orange, no fan, no power. JK

So basically you cannot get the pc to POST. Meaning you have just a black screen when you power on the pc, right?

First off, did you attempt to update BIOS before this happened. 90% of the time this is caused by a corrupt bios.

If you did not try to update BIOS before the problem started then try these troubleshooting steps.

1. Full power down. Unplug the power cord from the Power supply. Then hold down the pc power button.
Try to boot the pc.

2. Open the case and reseat the graphics card, hard drive, and RAM.

3. Take out one of the RAM sticks if there is 2 or more. Swap the RAM sticks in different RAM slots.

4. Set the Cmos jumper to clear. Power up the pc. Power down the PC. Set the Cmos jumper back to normal position, power up the PC.

5. Unplug and replug all the power supply cables.

6. Check the powersupply function. Either by a powersupply voltage checker, put the powersupply in a different pc, or try a different powersupply in the problem computer.

Could be bad ram, motherboard, cpu, powersupply, videocard.

Power Supply Problem

Hi, I came acroos a similar problem on an older model of emachine. If I remember it right what I did was to update the chipset and agp and other drivers (especially the lan card). The T5026 uses Intel 915GV. Most of what you probably would need can be found at http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Support_Intel.aspx?lang=eng. Most of the updates are chipset and OS specific. Good luck and please let me know how this works out for your. Cheers.
