Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player
I accidentally pressed the hold button and now it just wont turn back on. i tried everything and it won't work
I removed the back (didn't have #0 phillips, so used 1/16 flat head), removed the battery, reinserted the battery and it solved the problem. Tip: can buy sets of small screw-drivers at a dollar store, Odd Lots, etc for about $1.

Does it not working mean that you get a "key Locked, system shutdown" message, The thumbwheel glows but nothing else happen, nothing happens, or something else? If it is the first case and sliding the control does not work, the exterior slide has probably disconnected from the switch on the board. To fix it you will need to remove the 4 screws in the back to take it off (just slide your nails inbetween the metal back and the piece between the 2 covers and pry). Same thing for the front cover ( the black, plastic one) the screws are underneath the metal cover- one screw at each corner. I use a #0 phillips screwdriver for all 8 screws. the slide and the switch should now be visible, just slide the slide onto the switch - if not, something came apart and you need someone who knows what they're doing to fix it. if the thumbwheel glows but the screen does nothing you probably broke the screen. If nothing happens, It's probably scrap time for it.
