Random wrong passwords

For instance, if i enter the password for my wireless network i get "wrong password" message... i remove the password from the router and connect without any problems, all the other computers at home connect with no problems at all. However i can connect to another network at home with no troubles (with or without password)

but, there is another connection in the house and that one i can connect to with both computers with no problem....

Any router that your connecting to wireless, without a password, does not have wireless security set up on the router.

Any other wireless router that you are trying to connect to that does not allow you to connect wireless, has wireless security set up and that same security must be set up on the wireless device (like laptop or desktop, whatever is not connected via ethernet cable.).

Reply back what you find and I will be glad to help more.

I would be inclined to say you've got something wrong somewhere in the security setup for the router you cannot connect to.

You know the wireless card is good because it connects to the other router.

The hardware is pretty stubborn when it comes to passwords. It won't let you in because it doesn't know who you are. And it's not going to offer up any advice.

I would connect to the router that doesn't want to connect with an ethernet cable, and double check each letter, one at a time.

Now, one other thought, are you trying to access the web interface page on that router? Or are you just trying to connect to the router for normal wireless operation?

Please try unplugging the Roku from the electric outlet for 5 minutes, then plug it back and try again.

If no luck, please try resetting the Roku pushing the reset hole on the back or bottom of the Roku for 20 seconds (the Roku must be turned on), and then after the 20 seconds release it and wait for it to restart. It may take like 3 or 5 minutes to restart after the reset.

How do I set up a secure password?

For trendnet

Your Trendnet wireless router lets you broadcast your home network across your entire house, so you can access the Internet in any room. This signal may be powerful enough to extend into neighbors' houses, where they could easily jump on the network if it is unsecured. To protect your network, set up Wireless Encryption Protocol, or WEP, to encrypt data and prevent access unless the user enters the correct password.

Type "http://192.168.0.1" in your Internet browser's address bar and press "Enter." Enter "admin" for the username and leave the password field blank. Click "Log In" to log into your Trendnet wireless router's administrative program. Click "Wireless" from the left pane of the "Basic" tab. Click "WEP" under the "Wireless Security Mode" section at the bottom of the screen. Enter your preferred password for the network. A strong password is made up of a random selection of numbers and letters. Click "Save Settings" at the top of the screen to save your WEP settings.

How do you enable security for linksys wireless routers

  1. Type "http://192.168.1.1" into your Internet browser, and press "Enter."
  2. When login page opens up, type the username and password for your wireless router.Depending on your router brand, you may have "admin" and "password" as the respective default username and password. But again, you must refer to your wireless router support manual.
  3. Once logged in, click "Wireless Security" and Select "WEP" as the security encryption type
  4. Set the default transmit key to "1".
  5. Type in a passphrase and click "Generate". This generates random passkeys.
  6. Note down your network's SSID (listed on the security page) and the first WEP key. This is the information that you will need when trying to allow new connection through the wireless network.

What my voicemail 4 digit passcodefor 2402620085

Your voicemail password is a 4 digit number that you enter when you want to listen to your voicemail messages from any other phone other than your mobile phone - this is called remote access. This voicemail password gives you the protection to know that only you can listen to your voicemails.
It is vital that your password is set to a random 4 digit password. To change your password, all you need to do is:
  1. Dial 173 from your mobile
  2. You will then be asked to pick a 4 digit number, and then press the # button
  3. If you are happy press press 2
Your password is all set up and you will be prompted to enter it whenever you want to listen to your voicemails through remote access. You will only need to use this password when accessing your voicemails from another phone. You will not need to use this password when accessing your voicemail from your own mobile phone - you simply dial 171 as normal
You can reset your voicemail pass code by dialing 611 or 1 800 331 0500
From the main menu, press3 (To get help with voicemail)
Press 2 to reset your voicemail pass word
Enter Billing Zip code
Customer will receive a text message to their wireless phone with their new voicemail password.
OR
You can log into your "My Account" from the www.cingular.com
From the My Phone page, click Reset Voice Mail Password.
Choose a wireless number from the dropdown menu and select Submit.
A text message is sent to the wireless phone with the new password.

NETGEAR Wireless router: I installed it as per instructions on my PC - didn't really know what exactly I was doing....I have Time Warner cable (RR). Now my i phone and NetBook show a wireless network...

You router is sending out the signal under the network of Ellen-p. you need to enter the password to both your cellphone and netbook. Once entered, both devices will remember the connection.

The password is normally issued with a router from an internet provider (Time Warner) and is called a 'WPA2' password is normally a set of random upper and lower case letters and numbers like AAP7CD81. It may be that you set up a password when you set the router up, in which case you use that password.

Another possibility is that the password is on a sticker on the router or on a sticker that came with it.

find your SID network and delete it.
then re-scan for network connections and when it finds it will ask for the password.
