IF the belt fell off, it is likely that the belt is stretched and needs to be replaced. Use a couple of pencils to open up the belt and beasure the length. The belt should go around the two pencil erasures forming an oval. Use that measurement to determine the belt size and purchase a replacement belt. The belt will go around the platter and around the motor hub.

There is no manual available to the public that I am aware of. There should be a clip around the center post which when removed should allow you to raise up the platter. Place the belt around the platter and then stretch it over the motor hub while the platter is raised just a bit. Repalce the platter over the post and you should be all set. You can call Crosby for a replacement belt.

Very often a small belt has fallen off or broken. A look inside should locate it. To find a replacement belt, just measure the diameter of the old one in MM and then put the words "drive belt --MM" into Google. Select the size close to yours.

Hi, the belt on our Teac Turntable has come off while moving to new home. Can I get manual that shows how to put it back on?

If you open the top lid of your turntable, you will see a black rubber disc that sits on the pladder, it should come off revealing the metal pladder, you should see holes that will show your belt and the turntable motor when pladder is rotated. In order to put the belt back on you must remove the pladder, but before you do check to see if there is a C clip holding it down, after removing the clip the pladder should come off, put the belt on the inner rim of the pladder, now slowly work the pladder on the spindle make sure one of the pladder holes allows you to see the motor, put a small blunt object between the belt and the inner pladder and use it to stretch the belt to slip over motor then push the pladder down and rotate it making sure the belt is turning with the motor, next replace the rubber disc and finally the C clip if it is present.

Hello My turntable do not spin

This turntable is a belt driven type. The belt wraps around the underside of the platter and the drive motor spindle. If the belt has slipped off, broken or is so old that it is slipping - the platter will not turn. Usually you can remove the rubber cover on the top of the platter to use access openings beneath to put the belt back on.

The turntable product brochure, owner's manual and related info is available from Pioneer, here.

I hope this helps!

I just bought a set of Gemini 500 the belt has come off and I am usure how and where it fixes back on???

HELLO
This should be straightforward. Take off the slipmat and lift off the turntable (platter) and you'll see there is a rim on the underside of the platter this is where the belt goes.
Put the belt round that rim and you'll notice a couple of holes in the platter itself. Hold the belt through one of these holes and put it back on the tunrntable while taking notice of the motor position on the deck.
When the platter is in place (still hold belt) and move the platter to the position of the motor pulley and slip it on. Manually turn the deck once or twice to make sure it is in place - DONE! Replace the slipmat.
ENJOY! (:-)

Belt is off my audio-technica turntable at-pl50

WASH YOUR HANDS FIRST! Any oils on the drive belt may cause slippage.

This is from the manual:

A) Remove the record mat from the turntable platter
(Fig. 10a). Through an opening in the
turntable platter, visually inspect to see if the drive belt
is around the motor pulley (Fig. 10b).
B) If the drive belt is not around the motor pulley: Lift
and remove the turntable. Place a thumb into each of
the left and right openings on the turntable platter; and,
using the fingers to press down on the turntable housing’s
surface, pull the platter straight up (Fig. 10c).
Avoid pressing on the tone arm.
C) With the turntable platter bottom side up, place the
belt along the outside wall of the turntable platter's
drive rim, making certain that the belt is smooth and
flat all the way around (Fig. 10d).
D) Put the turntable back on the center spindle, make
certain it is fully seated, and align one of its openings
over the motor pulley position.
E) Through the opening, carefully hook the turntable
belt with a finger or with the original red ribbon (never
use a sharp object) and pull the belt over the motor
pulley (Fig. 10e). Make certain the belt is not twisted
between the pulley and the platter’s drive rim.
F) Put the record mat back on the platter.
G) While holding the tone arm in its rest position,
slowly turn the platter by hand clockwise at least 10
rotations to clear the mechanism’s automatic cycle.

Belt came off

Remove the rubber mat and you will see two holes in the turntable. Put your fingers in these holes & using equal force pull up to release the turntable. The drive belt goes around the metal disk you will see below and around the drive pulley. Most likely it has just jumped off the pulley so hook it back over. Replace the turntable and gently rotate it a couple of revolutions, you can see the belt through the holes in the turntable. If all is seated OK power up & enjoy! You can download the manual from the link below: http://usa.denon.com/DP29F_DFU_ownersmanual.pdf This shows the procedure as per original install. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
