Remove yahoo search using add-remove programs. ITs junk anyways and gives you more pop ups anyways. just use the regular yahoo or add the home page as an extra home page so it open to it when you open explorer. ( IE7 + 8) allows multiple Home pages.

Just like google, yahoo tool bar is added clutter.

If you want it though, just remove it like I said and try re-installing it.

How do get access to my Yahoo account even after it keeps saying go to "W*********@aol.com nd still not letting me access my account

Hi
If you go directly to the Yahoo login page here:
Yahoo login
then entering your email and password should take you straight to your email account. (copy and paste the link to your favourites so you can go straight to it in your browser).
If you still get the "run around" to other sites you have some form of virus, adware or malware on your computer which needs to be removed as soon as possible.
Some can be removed by going through your browser settings and removing the search engines and add-ons that appear and that you do not want. Others require a removal from the Control Panel "Uninstall a programme" section. Others may require an anti-virus programme and scan of the computer to remove the threat. If you don't already have anti-virus, try AVG free anti-virus 2015.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

No icons on my computer toshiba

This could be caused by many things. The most common is a virus. Click on the start button (Windows flag in the lower left of your screen if using Windows 7), click on Run (Windows XP) or enter the following in search box. "iexplore" Without the quotes. This should bring up internet explorer. Use your favorite search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc) and find TDSSKiller and run it. This will scan your computer for rootkit viruses. Rootkit viruses hide over viruses so you also need to use your search engine to locate, download and run Malwarebytes (run a full scan). Finally use your search engine to find a small program called unhide and run it. This should take care of your problem if it is caused by a virus.

Keep getting error code 20 when I search my emails. Any help would be much appreciated??

Hi there,
I believe this relates to a problem with you pc and nothing to do with Yahoo mail. The root of the problem is your computers registry and this can be caused by several different things the most common are viruses.
I recommend:
You run a virus scan and clear out your PC. If you don't have any anti-virus software then the best anti-virus (which happens to be free) is Microsoft Security Essentials: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ this is free as long as your copy of Windows is legal. If it is not then I recommend AVG free edition: http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage . Download, install, run a virus scan, clear any threats.
Next you need to get yourself a piece of software to clear up your damaged registry (even if no viruses were found). I highly recommend CCleaner: http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/ . It's free and very simple to use, simply download, install, analyse your registry and click the ok button.
Once this has completed, run it again until no more registry errors are found.
Restart your PC, and try Yahoo mail again.

You have a virus. Run a virus scan and a spyware scan. You can download a free scanner from www.avg.com as well as do a google search for spybot search and destroy.

I Googled Golding Young Auctioneers yesterday, the site that came up was Teen porn! I thought there was a mistake so I tried the next one, that was also a porn site as was the third site, the fourth site...

I just Googled the exact same phrase as you, and did not get the offending websites you mentioned. The only thing I can think of is your computer may have some malware or viruses on it that causes your searches to not actually be searching "Google".

I would run a virus and spyware check on your computer. If you don't have any anti-virus or anti-spyware, there are plenty of free resources online. AVG has a free anti-virus and Malwarebytes will scan for spyware.

Good luck.

I cannot get my yahoo email. The computer shuts down as soon as I open yahoo email.

My guess is that this is virus related. Start your computer. Don't open a internet browser. Open your virus scanner and first update your virus definitions (eg update). Then do a full scan. When complete, try opening yahoo mail again...

I cannot seem to open any web site that is related

It's good that you have narrowed down the problem to when your laptop is at your work.
I have two suggestions for narrowing it down further,
(1) tell us exactly what error you get from Firefox when you try to access yahoo sites from your work
(2) try a ping before and after you have a problem getting to yahoo sites. (You might want to try this a few times to see if it is consistent.)

If ping says 0% loss before and after you have a problem accessing Yahoo at work, then that suggests the problem is NOT with your wireless router (unless it is doing filtering). Instead, it would be more likely an issue with filtering/blocking/firewall or web cache/proxy. It might even be a deliberate decision by your work-place to block access to Yahoo for employees.
