Re: yahoo search takes me to other sites
Remove yahoo search using add-remove programs. ITs junk anyways and gives you more pop ups anyways. just use the regular yahoo or add the home page as an extra home page so it open to it when you open explorer. ( IE7 + 8) allows multiple Home pages.
Just like google, yahoo tool bar is added clutter.
If you want it though, just remove it like I said and try re-installing it.

The latest version of AVG is 9. so u have to search it and install on ur PC. its free of cost just u have to download it and its easily availible on different sites. After downloading install it on your PC. when it 'll be installed open it there is option of residential shield in it. if it is not active, active it after it click on scan computer, it 'll take some time and 'll scan your whole PC. in the end of scanning click on remove all the infections and 'll remove all the infections and viruses of your PC. i hope this solution 'll helpful 4 u. To resolve virus issues, I would recommend using Avast Antivirus. It is free for home use, and after installation will allow you to run a boot-time scan that will take out any viruses before windows even loads. You can get the software at www.avast.com
first you need a good spyware program to run i'll give you the top 2. using google type in malwarebytes antimalware it will take you to a site to download the spyware scanner, next type in spybot search and destroy also it will take you to a site to download the scanner.after you download these(by the way they're free),install and update them, then run the spybot scanner first after it is done click on the fix problems buttonthenopen the malwarebytes program and go to settings and click on full scan, this one takes a little longer to scan but this will really clean it up.now if you have any problems just get back in touch and i'll see what i can do,oh and check your firewall settings after the scans are done some of these viruses like to shut off your firewall and target your antivirus programs.let me know how it goes.
Go to a friends computer and search for "Trinity Rescue CD version 3.3", try to get build 321 or greater. Burn the ISO file you download on to a CD blank and then set the computer to boot from CD (This setting should be in the BIOS settings). Boot with the Trinity Rescue CD you just created and make sure the computer is plugged into a known good network connection (not a modem connection but a cable or DSL connection) chose item number 6 (I think) on the menu. Item #6 should be "Virus scan non-interactive" Be aware that you only have 10 seconds to choose the item you want from the menu before Trinity Rescue CD boots. use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move up and down the menu. After you choose Virus scan non-interactive, the computer will reach out to the internet and update it's virus checkers and scan your computer for viruses and rootkits. This might take a while. If you have a larger hard drive (80GB or larger) try this before you go to bed and let the Virus scan run all night. When it is done scanning (it will scan your hard drive with 5 different virus scanners) it will have a command prompt (DOS) type screen type "exit" and remove the CD and reboot your computer using the hard drive and THEN try to run Lavasoft ad-aware or Spybot Search and Destroy.
it might caused by virus, you initially need an good virus remover with updated defination file. first scan your computer, if you found any virus you might need to re-install windows. if there was no virus then un-install yahoo msgr first through control panal, then re-install the same by downloading through yahoo site.
