We can not get this mouse to work. We do not have the instruction sheet that came with it. We bought it sometime ago, and want to use it again now. When we hook up the usb cable the laptop shows new hardware - the light comes on under the mouse. It will not work. Could you help us. Is there something else that we should be doing that we are missing because we do not have the manual?

DId you receive any drivers to use with the keyboard?
If you did, try reinstalling them. If you dont have them, search google for the model of the keyboard you have, and try to download them and install them.
If it doesnt work, the best thing to do is to call the customer service from where you bought your keyboard.
They just stop working sometimes for no reason. If you still have warranty, they probably will give you a new keyboard.
Replace or recharge the batteries, if rechargable. Try to reestablish communication between the USB stick and the mouse using the buttons provided on both devices (see instructions). If this can't help there is a problem that can't be fixed for a reasonable price and you should buy another mouse.
I found the user guide in French. It says to slide back the cover behind the Logo on top.
also found it in English:
Installing the Batteries Optical Mouse 1 Remove the battery cover from the top of the mouse by pressing the top center (over the Targus logo) and sliding it back. 2 Insert the supplied batteries , making sure that the positive (+) and negative (-) ends of each battery match the polarity indicators inside the battery housing. WARNINGS: When replacing the batteries, you may use alkaline or other heavy-duty NiMH batteries. Never combine an alkaline with a NiMH battery in a device. Avoid mixing new and used batteries in a device. 3 Slide the battery cover back in to position until it “clicks” firmly into place. 4 Turn on the mouse by sliding the on/off switch on the bottom of the mouse to the “on” position. The optical sensor, located on the bottom of the mouse, glows red. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
