Hello, The plate you are referring to has several tiny screws holding it to the rear camera housing.Be real easy as there is a circuit board under it.

SOURCE: Unable to unscrew camera from mounting plate tripod

The mounting plate may have a small pin with a spring to fit certain kinds of cameras.
Don't try to twist the plate off the camera, that may damage the bottom of the camera.
Instead, the plate should have a slotted screw in the bottom that screws into the camera. Unscrew the bolt with a good screwdriver.

Hope that helps.

SOURCE: button does not work

hi
Some of those buttons work in combination with the two dials (i.e., setting ISO and white balance, etc.). Hold a buttin down and user the knobs simoultaneously.
If this is not the issue, please describe specifically which buttons are not workin...

SOURCE: Replacement parts for a Kodak v1253 Camera

Hi,

These parts could be difficult enough to obtain. You will need to put in a special order as these will not be carried in normal stock.

I have used these guys before for special orders. Try this email and hopefully you might just get a result

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Delete Button on Kodak Easyshare CX7530 doesn't work

I had same problem. I opened up camera and simply move the back of the delete button around a bit to ensure the button would hit the contact when pressed. Closed the camera back up and it now works fine. I have dropped the camera a number of times I think the button and the contact became misaligned.

Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns Off Fix Does your Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns On...

Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns Off Fix

Does your Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns On Then Turns Off right away?
Does your Kodak EasyShare Z740 Turns Itself Off with new AA batteries in it?

Many of these Kodak EasyShare Z740 cameras that shuts off right away and will not stay on, will actually stay on if you select FAVORITES to view pictures, but just flash back and turn off if set to auto or camera mode. Try this.

If the lens cannot extend, the camera will turn itself off. You can try giving the camera a thump with the heel of your hand, but I would recommend servicing the camera rather than smashing a delicate digital instrument. After trying the steps below, a last chance alternative that works for some people is to grab and actually PULL the lens out as it tries to extend itself. Again, its delicate; if you can afford it, maybe pay for servicing before hitting and pulling on your camera.

However, before servicing your Kodak Z740 try this fix:

  1. Hold down the Time/Ascending Folder button (the button under OK on the circular panel)
  2. While holding that down, press and hold the ON/OFF button.
  3. The camera may turn itself on and stay on this time, acting normally again.

If this doesn't work for your try this:

  1. Hold down the '>' button (the one that brings you to picture review)
  2. While holding that down, press and hold the ON/OFF button.
  3. The camera may turn itself on and stay on this time, acting normally again.
If that doesn' t work, try again with the 'Trashcan' button, and ON/OFF button.

I hope that helps.

I took some pictures with the internal memory and now I want to print it. Can I view those pictures on my computer monitor screen before I print them.I can not find the instructions to the kodak easy...

This is for a C643. If you have a different model, reply to this post with the model.

First, make sure there's a memory card installed and the camera's storage location is set to internal memory.

Press the Review button, then press the Menu button. Use up/down to highlight Copy>> then press the OK button. Use up/down to highlight an option then press OK button.

To set the camera's storage location, press the Menu button and use up/down to select "Image Storage." Don't forget to change it back after copying your pictures.

You can find the manual for the C643 at

Hi,

I'm afraid your camera needs a repair. There's no other way. Contact Kodak under 1-800-421-6699.

All the buttons in my M753 wont work

Hi!
You can remove the back cover (remove front cover first) and check if the connection is not loose - there's a flexible key board glued to the internal frame - it may loose connection with the main board as key board cable's leads are from graphite - it's very cheap and unreliable solution, cables like these get damaged quite easily. If the cable is in the connector, looks OK, but the keys still won't work - the key board has to be replaced. It comes with the frame. If you feel like repairing it yourself, I can sell you a new frame with the key board. If not, contact your local Kodak service center or me at toms.safranovs@gmail.com

Hope this helps!

My Easy Share (Z730) is in the open position & will not close.

VERY COMMON WITH EASY SHARE. There are only a couple things you can really do. FIrst, try removing the memory card and try it. Than if that dosen't work. Try holding power button while gently wiggleing the zoom.

Dropped camera, SD card came out. Took 2 more pictures, camera turned off. Replaced batteries, camera turns on and then back off.

I may be able to help with your Kodak EasyShare Z740 that turns itself off.

It may be a 'lens extending' problem, or it might be fixed with a combination of button presses to reset it while turning it on.

Try these steps to fix your camera.

I hope that helps.
