My Samsung Galaxy Light won't vibrate anymore. How can I fix it or get it to work again. Thank you

Setup the Vibration
This option allows you to set your device to vibrate and ring.
1. From the main Settings page, tap My device tab ?
Sound.
2. Tap Vibrations.
3. Select a vibration pattern and tap OK.
- or -
Tap Create to then use an on-screen touch circle to
create your own custom vibration pattern. Tap Save to
store the new vibration pattern.
Sound Settings
From this menu you can control the sounds on the phone as
well as configure the display settings.
From the Home screen, press and then tap
Settings ? (My device tab) ? Sound.
The following options display:
Silent mode via Device Options Screen
Silent mode is convenient when you wish to stop the phone
from making noise, in a theater for example. In Silent Mode
the speaker is muted and the phone only vibrates to notify
you of incoming calls, or other functions that normally have a
defined tone or sound as an alert.
1. From the Home screen, press and hold
(Power/End) until the Device options screen displays.
2. Tap either Mute, Vibrate, or Sound from the Device
options screen to activate or deactivate these features
(the current mode displays).

I have samsung e840 it have no vibrate no alert incoming call

Hi, did you set the vibrate alert on?.

If you did set it it will give you a vibrating alert. But if not that means you will have to go through where the ringing to setting alert and set the vibrate alert on.

After setting it and no vibration yet, that mean you will have to replace the vibration inside the phone.

Would advice if no experience with phones, contact an expert technician around you.

Take care.

Sms text tone

Make sure you change your message alert type to Melody or Melody and Vibration before you get to pick your text alert tones or songs. If I remember correctly, my phone was set to only "Vibration" when i first got it.

Samsung U900

I came across your post when investigating exactly the same problem. In my case I did not realise that vibration was not enabled until the profile Call Alert Type was set to 'Vibration and melody' (mine was set to Melody and I didn't notice the other options). HTH.
