Those connections are encrypted and require you to enter the connection's password to gain access to the associated network.

If you are trying to connect to your own router's wireless signal you will need to determine your router's wireless encryption key (Typically listed on the actual router or its manual(s)) and use that to connect to your wireless connection.

If you can't find that key let us know and we'll help you locate your router's control panel which will allow you to setup your encryption type and its associated password.

My laptop quit working cant get no connections through router

First; Does your laptop see any wireless connections? If no wireless connections are showing up, your wireless card could be off. Depending what type of Computer you have, it could be a slide switch in front, if its dell, you can push Fn and F2, If you do see wireless connections, and just cant connect,. try shutting down your Computer, unplugging your Modem, and Router. Restart, then see if you can connect. Wireless has so many issues, If you still can't connect, let me know and I will give your more information. Hope this helps.

Cant get wife to connect is the wireless icon

hi
no the wifi stay blinking on activity, but the wireless connection on the laptop has to stay on
1. first have you tried with the ISP if you need any Proxy settings or specific IP address.
2. also check with the ISP if you need any specific DNS server settings
3. if the above two are given or not required but the router still does not give out connections then try this
instead of connecting the cable from the Modem to the slot named INTERNET try connecting it in one of the out going slots (numbered 1,2,3,4) and now connect the other systems as usual.

cheers
PS: if this has been any bit useful pls rate it, thanks

Cant connect 2 laptops through linsky wrt54g is this possible

are you connecting the laptop hard wired or wirelessly?

for wired connection, just plug the ethernet cable from the router to the laptop and it should work fine.

for the wireless connection, check on the wireless network connection. for xp, click on start> control panel> network connections> right click wireless network connection> then click on view available wireless network> then select your network.. for secure wireless connection, type the security key then click connect. :-)
