I'm trying to play movies from my USB port, but when I plug it I can't .... My LG 47" TV will recognize and open the flash drive, but shows empty.
I believe your TV has 2 USB ports on it. If you have equipment connected to the other USB port, that port will get priority and the TV will ignore your flash stick. Turn off your tv, disconnect everything on your USB ports then insert the flash stick. Power on the TV and hopefully you can see the flash stick.
hi, there are no provision for connecting ipod. u can connect onlyusb mass storage devices through ur tvs usb. if ur ipod comes with an usbchord just connect it to the usb port of ur tv and then select usb. normally if tv has an ipod connectivity it will comes separate connection for the same, and there will be an ipod dock( optional accessory u have to purchase it separately ) . ok
Not if the USB port on the TV says "SERVICE" next to it. At least I don't think that it would work. But go ahead and try it. It can't hurt anything.
Plug it in and toggle through the input modes to see if there's an extra one showing your Ipod. Or look within the MENU settings to see about turning on or accessing the USB port as a video input.
Absolutely, I have this myself. My 5th Gen works great, but the 160GB would not show movies, just played music. Apple has an adapter cable set that allows you to hook your Ipod to your TV. $50 buy it! You can charge and watch your stuff on your flat screen. It also unlocks your Ipod TV out setting for your Video 55. Set you IPOD video setting to TV Out: on, select your movie and play. Plug in the IPOD nip to your Ipod then set your Ipod into the Video 55. A bit of a pain but works flawlessly. If you select a different movie you have to do this all over again.
Have you already attempted to force the iPod into disc mode before connecting the iPod to your computer? If not I would recommend doing now. If you can get the iPod to connect to your computer at this point you will want to restore it using the latest version of iTunes.
Toggle the Hold switch on and off.
(Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect"
If you are having difficulty putting the iPod model into disk mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center.
If you are still unable to put your iPod with a Click Wheel into Disk Mode, use one finger from one hand to press the Select button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Play/Pause button.
okay. here's what you need to remember as i encountered the same issue and had it resolved.
1. connect the psp tv out component cable to the tv. make sure you have every cable in their correct plug-ins.
2. on your tv remote, press output until your tv displays the correct output data info. it will display component 1 or component 2. make sure this aligned with where you connected your component cable.
3. turn on the on the psp, then press and hold the display button ( it is near the start and select buttons on your psp, with a box like icon. after 5 seconds, it will give you a gray screen with a box icon and an arrow which means you are transferring the data out from the psp to your tv display.
You will need to plug the player into your TV, not the DVD player. also, don't connect to TV using USB cable (if your TV has a USB cable). Get a 2-1 adapter that has one end plugged into headphone jack, and the other end plugged into a red and white audio IN port on your TV. Set TV channel to that IN port (Video1, AV1, or whatever your TV is calling that IN port.
