Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers

Replace dishwasher / counter tops are not standard

Have a leak in old dishwasher and bought a new whirlpool from Lowes only to find out when they went to install that they can't get old out without taking out counter tops (tile). Do you have have something that I can order (buy) that will fit. I well that I will probably end up cutting out the sub floor and removing the dishwasher, this house was built in 1929 and I really don't want to dump more $$ into the tops. But I really want to have any problems with a new one and can't have it worked on or replaced again without cutting the sub floor. Rose

The new dishwasher is too tall! No way to slide it in. Does Whirlpool make anything shorter? Custom product? Let me know.

There should be two thin metal tabs on top of dishwasher that extend out and attached to the underside of counter top. They may have been bent back or they are broken off

The new dishwasher kitchen aid we bought is leaking

If it is leaking from the front, then there is a problem with the seal that runs around the front of the dishwasher. It is usually located behind the main door on the edges of the unit itself, it will look similar to weather stripping. A cheap way of fixing this is to get real good weather stripping from Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. It will have a sticky surface on one side, you peel off the paper, then apply the weather stripping to the actaul door, first try to mark where the old one sits against it.If its leaking from underneath, than it can be a number of things, but most are easy to repair, you just have to pull the dishwasher completely out to get a better look. Sometimes one of the components will be leaking, but for the most part, it might just need a new hose clamp or tightened up. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool dishwasher Leaking water

Hello there:
Troubleshooting Leaks
If the dishwasher leaks, and you know the problem is not related to tub overfilling, the pump, or inlet valve problems, the plumbing connections may be faulty. Most dishwashers are connected to the water supply with metal pipe fittings, and the leak could be at these fittings. If the fittings are threaded, tighten them with an adjustable wrench. If this doesn't work, chances are the threads are stripped or the fitting is cracked or otherwise damaged. In this case, replace the fitting.
Most dishwashers discharge used water through a pipe or a hose connected to the drain or garbage disposer under the kitchen sink. If the drain line is made of flexible hosing, it may have cracked from prolonged exposure to hot water. Examine the hose; if it's damaged, replace it. If the hose is leaking at its connections with the disposer or dishwasher, tighten the fittings or clamps at the connections, or replace the clamps. Also check for water leaks around inlet valves, drain valves, and anywhere you see flexible hoses and hose connections. Leaks at clamps can be stopped by tightening or replacing the clamps. Leaks in hoses can be eliminated by replacing the hoses.
I HOPE THAT YOU FIND THIS INFORMATION VERY HELPFUL
BEST REGARDS MICHAEL

Danby counter top dishwasher power switch problem

In regards to the problem with the power switch , I was able to get the 800 number from the store that we bought it at. Called the number-got right through-and they emailed me a COMPLETE breakdown and parts manual for my specific machine.

And I was able to order the part from them right over the phone and it was shipped out immediately. Very pleased with the service. Any one needs the parts breakdown I can email it to them.

Good luck-
